  • @jenniferprice6379
    @jenniferprice6379 Před 5 lety +7

    There is a stop preventing the butterflies from opening all the way on purpose. If it is shaved off, the motor will be a 40 horsepower. However, my husband's Suzuki on a War Eagle 1542 flat-bottom with no jack plate runs 32 mph. You have something wrong with that motor. The three cylinder Suzuki is selling for as much now as when they were new here in Arkansas because they are that strong. Also, not every motor runs as efficiently with the same prop setup.

    If the test was conduted to determine which is the fastest motor from al 3, the water test was conduced erroneously. To be fair which motor achieves the highest top end speed must reprop every motor tested to run at its middle wot revs factory stated while solo or 2 up testing.
    For that will need to install an induction tach to check max wot revs each motor achieved, then go for a prop maximization. You don't know if same 15 pitch prop used on all 3 motor is a good water performer for each one as don't know at which middle wot rpm each one is revving at. All motors must be 101% healthy and running strong.
    My 450 Rib powered with a 2 strokes 18 HP Tohatsu propped spot on will leave far behind any of those 3 motors which runs very slow to be 25 HP ones.

    IT SEEMS, I'M NOT SURE, THAT THE THREE ENGINES WERE WITH THE PROPELLER TOO MUCH SUBMERGED. IT SEEMS THIS CLEAR, WITH THE LAST ONE, SUZUKI. I HAD ABOUT 20 MODELS OF THIS JON BOATS (HERE WE CALL "ALUMINUIM BOAT"), AND USED 15 AND 25 HP. THE POSITION OF THE PROPRELLER, IS VERY IMPORTANT; IF SUBMERGED, THE BOAT RUN "HEAVY" AND FUEL CONSUMPTION IS GREATER. IN THE OTHER HAND, WHEN THE BOT RUN "EASY" THE FUEL CONSUMPTION IS LOWER, SOMETIMES, VERY LOWER. THIS MAY BE SEEN, WHEN USING A PLANNING BOAT, MADE OF FIBERGLASS, WOOD OR ALUMINIUM. SUCH KIND OF BOAT, MUST RUN FAST, FOR THE PLANNING, IN OTHER WORDS, NEEDS A HIGH POWER TO RUN. AFTER THE PLANNING, GENERALLY AT 18 M/H, IF ONE USE THE POWER TRIM, THE BOAT MAY RUN FASTER, UP TO 4 M/H WITHOUT MOVE THE ACELERATION DEVICE. SIMILAR OCCURS WITH JON BOATS. THIS HAPPEN BECAUSE THE PROPELLER IS ADJUST TO WATER SURFACE.

    You should not lift the engine up so high that it only is caviating and sucking up air.

    The Suzuki sounded like it was missing but...didn't sound healthy at revs...if that Suzuki was healthy it would whip both outboards ✌️

      Yea suzuki is like the best outboard to most people. I love them aswell i have a grady white gulfstream 232 and it runs well with twin suzuki 115.

      That suzuki is definitely not running right.. I have the same exact motor and it pushes my 15 foot jon boat 32 mph.. it has a carburetor for each cylinder which helps the boat jump on plane almost instantly. I raced 40 hp motor and win cause they couldn't reach top speed fast enough to catch me

    Check tps (throttle position sensor) on the suzuki and adjust it. Let me know i can send you the manual to adjust it. Cut the stopper so the butterflys would lay flat.
