🇬🇧 The news here in Britain is that our current summer weather has been, for a full week, hotter than the Sahara Desert!
We fare so badly in the heat, especially in the very far north where i live, we're not meant to withstand very hot days & we just wilt & melt all over & become disorientated, we cant think properly & our blue/white skin cant take the suns hot rays
We peel like damp wallpaper, resemble radishes, & look like
Floppy bean bags wimpering!😓
I just hate this weather & am only happy with snow & ice cold temps...
Anyway at least now its a cooler night & im Tickety Boo, listening to Capt Drew, a-telling his tales in the swamp, behind his mosquito net & pouring some Southern Comfort down his gullet & some roasted tobacco cigarettes... a fine way to enjoy the sultry lazy evenings..

Tumble bugs ? Do you mean potato bugs ? If that’s what you mean I guess we call them different names , in southern Ontario we call them potato bugs …. Edit : eww gross tumble bugs and potato bugs are not the same , we do have tumble bugs here too tho and I hate them .,..
Actually, they're called sow bugs. But here in Nova Scotia we call them tumble bugs. I should have made that clearer.

These rollie pollies are different than dung beatles these are more of a centipede looking bug. That roll up into a ball and have a hard outer shell. And probably 10 or so legs.
Actually, they're called sow bugs in the bug book I looked at, but up here in Nova Scotia we call them tumble bugs, because, like you say they curl up.

Lol! Totally wouldn't having noticed if you hadn't pointed it out. I think probably the reason is because it's monetary motivated? Like maybe they make a little bit more money if they get close to that 40 minute mark? That's just the gas but that's my best one. 🤷
