- California’s largest active fire has rapidly spread, with more than 1,600 firefighters working to douse the massive flames.
The fire, which began on Wednesday when a man pushed a burning car into a gully in Chico, has burned through more than 307,000 acres, or about 480 square miles as of Saturday.
Authorities said the blaze had not been contained at all since Friday afternoon, when the fire was advancing up to eight square miles an hour.

I don’t think he would’ve intended for this to happen. Like I’m not sure if we know how the car got on fire in the first place, the chances are all he felt like he needed to do was protect himself and those around him by getting a burning car that might explode, away from himself and everyone else.
If starting a fire was unintentional I don’t think I could imagine the guilt he would feel seeing this without ever wanting to hurt anyone at all.
