    He's a talented and compassionate man. I don't care for the Spider-man. 911 issue. It's difficult to read. But the panel with Captain America and his hand is trembling in rage... that's powerful. And it's sad.
    John like the Kuberts is a legacy creator. That's nice to see. You learn from your father, but do your own thing. And I love John Sr. But JJR has a dirty style coupled with Janson that's the Punisher. He nailed it. Love the flag shirt too.

    I was introduced to his art through Amazing Spider-Man and he's been one of my faves ever since

      Same here. When the started publishing Marvel Comics in Hungary, they started with the Stern-Romita era, and the Claremont- Romita era of X-Men. This dude is my childhood in a way.

    My first book drawn by him was Uncanny X-Men #300. What a talented and humble person he is.

    Probably his best work was the two big Miller stories-Daredevil and Superman year one -but my personal favorite run of his was his great Spiderman work with J Straczynski -would love to see him return one day soon before he retires...

    I'm in awe of his dynamic scenes! I've never bought any of his books but, when I Google images of powerful characters like The Destroyer (Thor), Mangog, The Celestials and The Sentry the art is oozing with energy. I haven't been that impressed since Jack Kirby.

    He completely ruined Superman and can't draw him at all. It's the worst 🎨 work he has ever done in comics!

      If his dad wasn't a big shot at Marvel I wonder if they would have hired him

    • @vikingman4614
      @vikingman4614 Před 3 lety +5

      That's been explained
      They still would of hired him because of speed and being good enough
      But theres a reason why he never lasted forever on xmen or spiderman but was on the c-tier titles like dare devil and punisher forever
      John Romita JR is the last we have of real Marvel comics

    I remember this guy, from way back when the SJW cancer that destroyed comics was far away in the future. Good times. Shame the industry is a dumpster fire now... with characters like Ms Marvel, Snowflake and Safespace LMAO.

      Sad part is Romita JR should be running Marvel calling the shots like Jim lee does at DC
