That's some nice HDR, just keeping background light sources from being blown out is worth it

Anyone know if there's a way to record video with this thing using its native software, Synapse? I'm not looking to stream with this webcam, I'm looking to record video to then edit in with gameplay footage in post. Do I need to use OBS to record?
NIce. Two questions: do you need to have the razer software running simultaneously with zoom- if so is there a delay like the streamcam? Secondly, is there a way to disable autofocus to use for zoom/skype, etc...? Thx a ton!!!

That transition to the DSLR at the minute mark -- ooft. Now, I think the webcam looks great, and very promising, but it feels like the ultimate solution for premium quality will always be that DSLR setup.
Then again, the price points are so vastly different, and the setup for the DSLR makes it harder for the average consumer to engage with. I'm really considering this Kiyo Pro now, after watching this review!

Hey great video! Can you tell me what version of MacOS you used to demo the use of the Webcam Settings app? It seems this camera is not compatible with MacOS Catalina (10.15) and I may have to send it back if there is no workaround. I haven't tried the Webcam Settings app just yet, pending more research. I bought the regular Kiyo on sale a few weeks ago and it was good. Nice to see they improved on the weak spots from that model

Just picked this up for Black Friday at $99! Haven’t used yet, but super stoked for it! It definitely seems like it’s a huge step better than my $20 dollar Aukey webcam.

I really appreciate how informative this video is. I got the original kiyo a cpl of months ago for under $90 for streaming. I love it so far using it & it’s most def an upgrade to what I use to use WAY back in the day. $199 is a bit out of my price range but it’s def something I’ll be watching for sales or price drops come the holidays. That hdr def makes a world of a difference.

In terms of optics, which one of the three (Bio, StreamCam, Kiyo Pro) is better?
I just received the camera and got Synapse running on the 2nd install attempt, however, I am unable to use Synapse with the camera and as a selectable video capture device for Streamlabs OBS because Synapse has exclusive control over the camera. How did you get synapse to be the video source for this CZcams review? I am also reaching out to Razer and Streamlabs OBS. Thanks and hope to hear from you. I want that HDR feature.

Hey! Do you remember Wii U? Do you still have it and use it? I remember when I watched your review about it in 2012. IT'S JUST AMAZING AND SAD AT THE SAME TIME, HOW TIME FLIES SO FAST. I recently bought Wii U and enjoying playing with it.
This actually helped me because I’m a gaming streamer and the camera is quite impressive for a webcam compared to your usual webcams like Logitech for instance.
Are you using the built in mic from the Kiyo Pro? I have one and the mic is terrible. I wouldn't expect that, but my cheap 5 year old webcam has a much better mic and I wonder if I need to RMA it.
Not having the Adjustable Brightness Ring Light on this webcam is a GODSEND! The old Razer Kiyo was a burden to anyone who wore glasses during their stream, showing that bright white circle in both eyes the entire time. Something tells me the Razer team saw this as a big problem, which is why this camera has a hypersensitivity to surrounding light.
The ring light on the original was a mistake - putting this camera (for people who wear glasses) on the low end of the buyers spectrum, for a huge markup.
Would the Webcam Settings App also work for the the Razer Kiyo? (on a budget)

I got the kiyo pro on black friday for zoom and the quality is amazing but the image stutters every couple of minutes. is this because I’m using it on a mac or is it software related? it’s a great camera but this is what’s making me consider returning it haha

ive been thinking about buying this for a little while now, and needed to know if it worked for consoles, playstation 5 specifically.
I don't know what's up with your video that you're getting from those more expensive logi webcams, but my C920 looks a lot sharper and looks like my back iPhone camera or even some lower end proper cameras (I don't use Logitech Capture cause it always throws off a lot of balance for me). Also is there any chance of like an overview of all webcams using a universal software like Nvidia Broadcast cause I'd like to see how they all look in my work case since it seems to give a much better video feed for me and a lot of my friends.
Yea I mentioned this wasn't the best quality you can get from the Logitech webcams, but I would have to adjust my lighting setup to get better exposure and even coverage. The Kiyo is better suited for different lighting conditions, but Logitech is still a great buy especially the 4K variants.

Great camera, let down by the software not running on Mac. The App recommended here, works, but doesn’t allow you to engage the wide angle function, which is why I bought the camera.
Found a fix.
If you use Zoom, click the HD tab.
Camera then goes to full wide angle. 👍
holy hell thank you! I think that still only puts it at it's mid range wide angle, not the full wide angle. This has annoyed me to no end lol, why'd i buy this thing
