This is a video of a 10 minute sunrise taken in Portland Main at normal speed. I took this video myself in June 2015 Background sound is an actual sound clip I took at the location.

Portland Head Light is a historic lighthouse in Cape Elizabeth, Maine. The light station sits on a head of land at the entrance of the primary shipping channel into Portland Harbor, which is within Casco Bay in the Gulf of Maine. Completed in 1791, it is the oldest lighthouse in the state of Maine. The light station is automated, and the tower, beacon, and foghorn are maintained by the United States Coast Guard, while the former lighthouse keepers' house is a maritime museum within Fort Williams Park.

A great view of a famous landmark in the state of Maine. In the dozen times I have vacationed in Maine over the years, 2 prominent times I well remember when I visited the grounds of the Portland Lighthouse. The 1st was in 1999 when I completed a 10K road race ( called Beach to Beacon ) in the morning when it was sunny and created a magnificent sight of the light reflecting off the waves.
The 2nd time was in 2002 when I took the time with my art sketching pad to draw a picture of the lighthouse.
Again, when it is sunny, that is the time to see it.

Love this. Was thinking of going tomorrow and found out sunrise is at 6:20 am. The only problem is where do I park? Since Fort Williams park opens at 8 am I have no idea since I was never here before and have to travel from Massachusetts( 2 hours). Thanks
