Just ordered a second Diamondback DB9 for less than $200 shipped. Smallest semi auto 9mm they make that works and slips right into your pocket. I have a gen 3 and ordered a gen 4 for my boss, will be ordering another for myself soon. I highly recommend it for pocket/ultra slim carry.
I carry a .38 special snub when concealing is a requirement. Can’t beat a pocket pistol tho if you’re just needing concealment and any amount of damage from a gun even a .22 is better than nothing… but if you’re intent on self defense, and not being caught somewhere you can’t have a gun, be ready not to use a gun at all… Because likely, you won’t be able to get it in, or you’ll get caught by something or someone.

In the event that the gun had been reported stolen, your possession of it proves nothing. Private gun sales are legal. However, filing the serial off a gun is 5 years in prison.
The only issue I have is the 5 shots comment, unless you've practiced a massive amount you're probably gonna miss at least two of those and a person can take sometimes as many as 20 shots without going down right away if they aren't immediately fatal like the heart, head, or throat. The stress and immediacy of the situation and someone moving around a lot makes it very hard to get a good hit. Now if you practice a lot you can probably one or two tap someone with consistency.
