    I think Bissell should pay back money to whoever bought this machine.

      Hi peggy - the motor filter should be cleaned periodically if debris is on it however, it cannot be removed from the machine.

      Did you unscrew it? Otherwise it’s easy to take it out. It almost fells out as a matter of fact!

    Anyone know how to properly clean the bristles on the brush part? No matter how much I soak and then rinse it with hot water, there's still a ton of gunk stuck to all the bristles 😷

      This model design sucks. You end up spending more time cleaning its part than carpet.

      I just cleaned it running it under the kitchen sink faucet and then using some paper towels to clean dry it. Worked good.

      I just now cleaned the bristles by taking it out side and using a nozzle on water hose that has a jet setting so flow is fast and furious, I blasted roller. Be sure to keep a good grip on roller while you are rotating it because the high pressure will blow it out of your hand. I rotated it around several times and when I checked it 99.9% of the gunk had come out of the bristles. I was so surprised that it did that well. The 3 or 4 bristles that was still showing a slight dark spot where it attaches to the roller, I just pulled the stuff out of the bristles using a small metal pick. We have dogs so the roller is yuckier than some peoples even with vacuuming before cleaning carpet. I have always used under the faucet method but would use the pick on every bunch of bristles. 1st time I have used this method and will continue to do it this way for now on. The pressure method is awesome! Hope this helps.

      I use an old fine tooth comb & dawn dishwashing soap. It takes 5-10 minutes but just about everything comes off. Also I found brush replacements on Amazon.

    If you recently used it, don’t lay it down flat ON CARPET like the video shows! Dirty water will drip out of your machine and stain your freshly cleaned carpet!

      @@Puda That means you should empty the tank. The bottle holds MORE than the collection tank allows. I usually have about 1/2 cup to a cup of water/shampoo left. When it spews foam, stop, empty the tank.

    • @Puda
      @Puda Před 2 lety +1

      @@media3group correct! I actually realized that after the 3rd use. That sucks honestly. You can barely clean a room and it’s already full even though it’s 1/2 full! Support told me it was defective and is sending a new tank but pretty sure it’s just the way it is indeed. I had another brand in the past that broke down and the tank was 4x this. I could almost clean the entire home in 1 pass.
