To all those wishing Sanju to be India’s WK it’s not going to happen even if he hit 10 hundred in a row bcoz Indian team WK position is reserved for Pant. That is the reason why Sanju was not given chance on a regular basis when Pant was away because of the injury/accident, even though Sanju was the second choice at that time.

Yes KL has improved his game against spin, but that game is ODI game, he rotates strike well against spinners and found some odd boundaries in b/w.

Why Sanju is the perfect fit for Middle Order
Rahul never played in middle order. Pant is a slow starter which can be counter productive in middle overs and his strike rate against spin is only 116
Sanju strike rate is above 150 against both spinners and pacers
When it comes to boundary hitting Sanju is ahead of Pant & Rahul especially in Middle overs 7-15. Sanju Samson & Sky has the highest strike rate among Indian players in 7-15 phase. Pant strike is the worst among three, only 122. Samson has the best game to accelerate and clear the ropes

There is no qn about who has the numbers behind him and who is most deserving wk batter. Sanju Samson is miles ahead of Pant & Rahul.

Stop orgasming over IPL stats as they don’t count for much in T20i’s. Pant is a proven force at the international level whether you like it or not. Samson has done little with the chances he has had. Pant is also clearly the better keeper and being a left hander he immediately brings an advantage to the XI. One of India’s main problems in the last decade or more is a predominately right handed team.
It is a shock that all of them has picked a player, who is limbing in between matches, by saying he is solid match fit. Couldn't even call DRS for caught behind.

The world cup is playing in the dry condition where India is playing during day time with no dew - meaning we need more spinners as the ball will have good grip and spin. I also want the starters to play fearlessly and in the attack mode knowing that we still have batters until 7/8th spot. That is when we are at our best.

What does Shivam Dube have to do to make the squad? He's better than Sky on current form
SKY can bat with higher strike rate in all 3 phases of inning. Also, SKY has scored runs wherever he played in NZ, WI, Eng, India, SA. Dube is in great form but dropping SKY for Dube would be the most silly thing and people would laugh on the Indian team and selectors for doing that.
But I am very sure our selectors aren't that silly.
@@malamsingh1944 but pitches will be slow, Sky has typically only played well on fast tracks. I'm WI, you can't play scoops, flicks and upper cuts. Good international bowlers will bowl into the pitch and the ball will grip.
