I cannot believe that so many of the grand, old, hymns of my youth were written by the Gaithers. Some of these hymns created very powerful movings within my Spirit and got the tears flowing just like a little baby. Some of these are some of the Greatest Christian Hymns I have ever, heard. Matchless. I'm left speechless. Much Love. Out.

What a fabulous and glorius flashback to the 70 &0's when we were singing these precious,powerful and spirit filled songs as youngster and it still has the same effect on my life. Thank you Dalaas Holm for sharing your precious gift with the world
Appreciate Dallas Holm’s faithful witness for Christ, his integrity and his music…his wife of many years died in Dec and I viewed the service, it was sad but glorified God for sure🙏
I once met Amy Gaither in New Albany, Indiana when I was 16. She came down to a mutual friends birthday 16th party. She flew down in a plane from Anderson. She came in with a bright pink jumpsuit on and that blonde, almost white beautiful hair. After we listened to her play piano for everyone at the party we went out and drove around New Albany and Floyd Knobs a while. She was very nice. She told me that her daddy made records and was famous. I had no idea at 16 who Bill Gaither was nor did I care at the time. I later got saved at Asbury College a Christian School in Wilmore, Ky. Boy did a find out then who he was. I learned much of his music and Larnelle Harris from Louisvile/Danville, KY. I traveled with a friend named Shane Clark that could sing a lot like Larnelle. No small task. We know have recorded with Ricky Skaggs, Charlie Daniels, Buddy Greene (who plays harmonica with Bill Gaither all these years), Kevin Williams who is his band leader. Sonya Isaacs, Stuart Duncan a famous fiddle player, and 14 other grammy winning bluegrass players. Rhonda Vincent and Sierra Hull. We made 2 CD's in Bil Vordicks Nashville studio and Ricky Skaggs studio in Hendersonville, TN. ONe is called Deep Blue Hymns and on Itunes by Shane Clark. The other is and newest one is piano driven and solo artists like Ricky Skaggs and other. That is called The Hymn Awakening by Shane Clark. I am Phil Jackson and have been a pianist and worship leader since my college days at ASbury College in the mid 80's. Blessed to have listened to Bill Gaithers music all these years. Now I know who he is. Thank you Amy for telling me about your father's music. Lol. She also wrote some great tunes for her dad. Jesus needs a few good men is one of them. Gaither vocal band did that one. We listened to every CD they put out in the 80's and 90's. Larnelle was our favorite. Michael English as well was great. A guy name Luke Garrett was great too but not well known. Ron Block, acoustic guitarist for Alyson Krauss and Union Station also played on our last CD. Great guy and wonderful player to say the very least. Bruce Brown from Charlie Daniels band also played slide guitar on a track. Jimmy Fortune sang tenor with Ricky Skaggs on a track, Tis so sweet to trust in Jesus on The Hymn Awakening CD Shane Clark on Itunes. All praise be to God for how he works and helps us grow up from those that come before us. Bill Gaither is one of the best.
