I’m inclined to rush my paintings, a combination of bravado, lack of confidence (yes, they can go together), and ADHD. Watching you work - and your technique is easy to follow as well as skilled - makes me want to slow down and do better. Thank you for generously sharing your work. I too am “self-taught,” but really, CZcams has to take responsibility for my learning.

beig new to watercolor then you have to learn that none one gives you nothing for free, including him. I dare you to reproduce these branches just with the explanation he gave in this video. You will find out that one has to have money to learn. Thiese free videos are just to promote themselves their channel and the products, that than they will get for free!

This is the first time watching your videos. Thank you, I am going to try and do this one tomorrow. I love how you make it look so easy. Right now it is bedtime for me. But I wanted to say how much I love your work. 👏👏❤

In case anyone is interested. 😀 Lichen is a form of life that is actually a symbiotic relationship between fungi and algae.or cyanobacteria. The fungi needs carbon and the algae provides it through photosynthesis, which fungi can't do.

When you "spin", I lose reference of direction so not sure both light source AND growth of tree? It also helps if you actually SAY the color you're using when you speak of putting in the "Values"? Thank you so much. Your tutorials are always very helpful.

Helpful demonstration of technique, but I wish more time would have been allowed to take the branches to completion, and also to put in a simple background to show how this technique appears in context. Why the rush? But thanks for what you did do!

So the lesson here is, when leaning how to paint with watercolors...learn what NOT to paint!
