Fair warning: every review I've seen of Fall of Plaguestone says that you may need to look over the encounters and they were made before the encounter building system was refined for PF2E. You may find this adventure more deadly than you expect it to be.

Thank you for the warning, I'll play it by ear, thankfully I'm pretty good at improvising.

Look up personal antithesis for thaumaturge. It's more powerful as you get extra damage even if there is no weakness on the creature

nat 20 isn't auto crit in pathfinder 2e.

      Critical Hits
Source Core Rulebook pg. 278 4.0
When you make an attack and succeed with a natural 20 (the number on the die is 20), or if the result of your attack exceeds the target's AC by 10, you achieve a critical success (also known as a critical hit).
If you critically succeed at a Strike, your attack deals double damage. Other attacks, such as spell attack rolls and some uses of the Athletics skill, describe the specific effects that occur when their outcomes are critical successes.

I ended up looking at some forum posts after replying to the original comment and got pretty much the same result as your post. Nat20 only crit if the original attack was going to hit otherwise it turns failure into success and a crit failure into failure. Could you imagine rolling at Nat 20 and still having your roll be ten under the ac of the target. Terrifying thought.
