How impressive is JUST painting one of these things??! REALLY! Grandad was a test flight Engineer, Grandmom was a plumber. Dad IS an Electrician, and i am a Mechanic! MY entire FAMILY has worked for Boeing at one point or another! We are from Tahuya Washington! So "Whats -It-Tahuya"? lol..[pronounced 'tu hoo ya"...Without Boeing my personal quality of life would not be what it is! I OWN Milwaukee Twisted Iron..Custom Motorcycle builder. I use many principals i learned from dad , grand father and BOEING! Ty B!!!
Very cool! Working on a BS in Aeronautical Science, about half way right now, hoping after my Navy career to work for Boeing down the road! I drive pas the Renton and Everett facilities a lot!
What an amazing aircraft indeed. Can't wait for boeing to integrate the 787 technology on this lovely bird. Long live boeing..Pioneers of aircraft designing
Wing panels are joined by rivets and special rivet-like bolts called "hi-loks"...virtually no welding on the primary structure of an aluminum airplane, aluminum HATES to be welded and the grain structure of a welded aluminum joint is very vulnerable to hydrogen embrittlement.
A chemical adhesive, called apoxy is applied to the panels. The rivets hold the panels in place whilst the apoxy sets hard, whilst also allowing a secondary structural safety component to hold panes together if apoxy fails or gets contaminated, the rivets should hold long enough for any apoxy wear of contamination to be detected by maintenence crews. Aircraft like the most technologically advanced airliner ever - the 787 don't use rivets.
I venture to ask a question. What is the use of the aircraft in this video? The aircraft is in Boeing house livery, meaning that it would not be sold to other airlines unless they change it. Also, seats are installed. You may have to change these seats before selling the plane to another airline. If it is for promotion purpose, first, given that 777 is not new, why makes an effort to promote it? Second, why includes a cabin in a promotional plane?
The 777 is the best plane of it's generation. I hope the 777x carries on this tradition.
I prefer the Dreamliner (787) or 747-8 (Mix of 747 and 787)
In its group of course
777 and 787 series aircraft are the future for now. 747s will be phased out in 20 years or so

Boeing just does it better than anyone else!! The 777 is one of a kind of a airliner.
It takes 17 days to build one, that's amazing.
Seeing this video made me realize how far we have come!!! It all goes back to knowledge!!! All hail education!! :)))

I saw one of these on a 787, it was on the runaway and blasting by, those engines are insane it shook EVERYTHING AROUND AND IN the 787
This America at It's BEST!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This video can Inspire Millions!~
3 million parts coming together in 3 days to create a state of the art flying building! If this doesn't leave you in awe, I don't know what will.

Wow What a beautiful bird, hope we can see one fly into Tucson in the future. Kudos to those workers.
Amazing, the construction of an airplane is always big and hard
These PTQ videos are amazing, but Varig's 777 PTQ is simply the best.
It is a little bit lengty, but it's worth every second. :D

Rivets and Bolts ... Rivets for the Fuselage & Wings, Titanium Bolts for the Engines & Tail bits ...
what a coincidence there are 777 likes
awesome!
Do they weld or bolt them together?
777-200LR :)
Music sound like its from an action movie
So does it takes just days? like 7-13 days or so, or by days do you mean 100 days?
