Although you are right, conversation practice is important and you don't want to be stopped and corrected at every moment, you were asking a specific question that has a specific answer, and more explanation would have helped. She is SO lovely and great charisma...but you would have benefited from an explanation about the grammar rules behind certain VERB choices. It is not arbitrary. There are rules. Her example of "I haven't seen that movie YET," is using the present perfect tense (Subject + Have + verb (3rd form) ). We use this when a specific time in the past is not important/not known. We use this to talk about a period of time in the past that continues till now. So when she says "I haven't seen it YET", "yet" means you are saying you have not seen the movie at any time in the past up until now when you are speaking. If you said, "I DIDN"T see the movie" you would use this when you ARE talking about a SPECIFIC time in the past (this is called past tense). So let's say you told a friend that you were going to go to a movie yesterday. Then today they asked you "How was the movie yesterday", you would say " I DID'NT see a movie because...". This is talking about a specific time in the past (YESTERDAY) so you would use just the past tense. Also, when using the negative, try to think about what verb would be used in the positive sentence, or what the question verb would be. For example... You would ask "DO you have a dollar?". The verb here is DO. So the ANSWER would be Yes I DO, or no I DON't. You would not use "Haven't". That is not grammatically correct. This is not ALL there is to it, but I hope that it helps you out :). If you need more information, I would look up PAST and PRESENT PERFECT TENSE, as well as PAST TENSE, and analyze the rules for each. Best wishes in your English journey!!

لكي تحل هذه المشكلة فعليك فقط ان تعرف الازمنة و نفيها ببساطة....هي لم تشرح لك الامر انا فهمت مشكلتك لكن الامر سهل جدا عندما تعرف الازمنة و متى نستعملها
