Suzuki Jimny adding and connecting rear speakers

  • The Jimny's have speaker holes and wiring in place from the factory, this is a simple how to video showing how to remove the trim and connect them up.
    Green wires are for left speaker, Grey for the right, wires with black tracer are the negative.

    Just did this today. I can recommend using some bootlace ferrules for connecting into the existing wiring harness. Ones I used were 22AWG, fitted snugly and now all speakers are hooked up.
    Weird about the wiring diagram given black should always imply negative. I wonder if that's a manufacturing error. I don't have a multi-meter to check the polarity so I am just assuming mine is as it should be (speakers sound fine?).

    If I just plug my speakers into the connector in the rear will they work? Or do I have to do something with the radio up front

      The head unit will need to have provision for the rear speakers, if it does then it should just work.
