Great picks! I couldn’t agree more on the album tracks for Ragged Tiger. Cracks In the Pavement and Dice were always my favorites on it! Their deep cuts and b-sides were always top shelf in my book. Enjoy your weekend!
INXS Kick is undeniably filled with catchy tunes. Hard not to like that album. My two favorites in this installment are Blonde on Blonde and After the Goldrush. Flat-out classics. Nice video Jeff.
Thanks Rich! No denying Dylan and Young are two of the greatest songwriters of all time. And they have manages to put out classic spanning at least 3 or 4 decades.
An enjoyable list . It's nice to see Yaz in there , as well . Here's my 90 - 81 list : : Blood Sweat & Tears : Blood Sweat & Tears Boz Scaggs : Silk Degrees ( I'll take some stick for this , but I still like it. ) Iron Butterfly : Ball. ( a lost classic of psychedelic rock ) Graham Parker : Squeezing Out Sparks. Wilson Pickett : The Exciting Wilson Pickett The Guess Who : Share the Land AC / DC : Back in Black Alan Parsons Project : I Robot Tina Turner : Private Dancer Blue Rodeo : Diamond Mine. ( with the sensational Girl of Mine. ) Cheers !
Yazoo great record Have you got Alf - her best oranges and lemons is a record I love - I seem to remember i did a review a few years back - another great ten jeff
Hi Jeff!!! Inxs "Kick" is almost a greatest hits album an album that has aged well (imo) also that Duran Duran album and yes "synthpop" is also kind of a derogatory name like "hairmetal"..... hahaha Dylan, Rush and Genesis fans are going to leave more "negative comments", lol..... cheers and be well
@@jeffwhitchervinyldestinati4486 You have something coming your way tomorrow, but I forgot to put the Amazon gift note in it when I placed the order. Just in case you're wondering who it is from. I know you like the band, I'm hoping you like this album.
Only Rush DD and Genesis I’ve owned. Oddly enough that Genesis album is my least favorite of the Gabriel Era. I think Lamb Foxtrot and Nursery blow England away. But that’s me. XTC. Could never get into them maybe too European for my tastes but they seem to be loved by many. Hmmmm. I’ve only sampled tracks here n there never bought their albums. Dear God is probably their biggest hit in the states. I’m a big post punk fan yet this band has never connected with me. Yet at least. 😂. I’ll have to give them another try sometime.
Oranges and Lemons might be the place to dip your toe in? Pretty good mix of new wave and psychedelia. If you don’t like that album probably they are just not your thing. 🤟🏻
@@jeffwhitchervinyldestinati4486 Thanks for the tip. It’s been the early stuff only I’ve checked out. I hate to compare however when butted up vs early Siouxsie or Magazine or early Killing Joke or even late seventies Saints and the Cure . For me thats the high bar of early post punk. Maybe I’m better off checking out a departure album. 👍🏻
Awesome 🤘
The hurting is awesome
Love The Tears For Fears & XTC picks & A Farewell To Kings is my favorite Rush album.
It’s a top 3 Rush album for me. Such a classic!
Yw bro

Thank you Rob, you as well! Check out my Duran Duran deep dives if you haven’t already. So much great music!
Genesis, Monkees, and Rush are my favorites out of this batch! Tears for Fears runner up. Great ranking! That Rush would probably be in my top ten.
Thanks Gary! Kings would be in my top 5 Rush albums easily.
I have about half of the albums you've rated so far, so you're not doing too bad. (yet) 😊
Awesome ranking! 2 of these will make my list! Great job brother 👍🤘🤘
Thanks bro!
Love kick

I have been on the lookout for Ball but so far no luck. Silk Degrees is a guilty pleasure. Nice pick with the Guess Who. 👍👍
@@jeffwhitchervinyldestinati4486 I found Ball on CD , I don't know if it's available on vinyl . Yes , Silk Degrees is a guilty pleasure . Thanks !

Thanks Cristian. I should know better by now not to call Pink Floyd and Rush progressive rock but I can’t help myself. 😂😃
As much as I love Dylan, that album isn't even in my top 10. I need to try some more Tears For Fears.
Hey Jeff! I have 2 of those, and I bet you can guess which ones. You went heavy 80's synth in this episode so I guess this isn't a surprise. Cheers!
Cheers! I know exactly which two. 😉

@@alltheworldsastage899 thank you Steve! I really appreciate your generosity!
how do you even go about ranking these? i could probably name my top 3 then name a bunch of other records i like
That’s why I get paid the big bucks. No, but seriously I did my best to rank these but it’s not an exact science.
