Thanks for sharing this video 🙏🏽 I’m going there in a month, excited but nervous 😅😝
Thank you so much for all the great information, love it.
You're very welcome! Are you planning a trip to Peru?
@@hopscotchtheglobe No, I am not. I would love to go. Unfortunately I don't have the means but this helps me when I plan some trips to other states close by. Thank you again for all your advice.
You're so welcome!
🤚🏾 this was helpful! Thanks!
Excellent video, thank you very much.
You're very welcome
Machu Picchu with Spirit Tours. Mom was from Peru. Visited several times with mom in my youth. Mostly Miraflores, but also Barranco, Callao. Never made it to Machu Picchu. Very excited!
How exciting! What a meaningful trip it's going to be. Peru is such a special place. I can only imagine what it would feel being from there. Pure magic. Have the best time ever!
glad i watched this! doing the peru trip with G Adventures in a month and i was wondering if i should pack with a suitcase or backpack. im not doing any of the trekking or trails, help a female solo traveler out ❤
Going in April
That's so exciting! Where will you be going? I have two other vlogs from my trip you can check out for inspiration:)
I find wearing bulky items agreeable. I often just wear what's make me feel comfy but wearing those during the flight would indeed give more space.
My bulkiest tend to be the coziest haha
Ok I was so confused at one part, I didn't know if you said "I'll pack a sweater," or "alpaca sweater" lol but seriously I have a alpaca lined hoodie and it is the warmest thing I have ever worn in my life :)
Hahah that's hilarious!!! And yes they are so warm. One of my fav purchases from my travels for sure.
Definitely going in 2024, just need to nail down the dates
Yes! So exciting. Peru is really incredible. Have so much fun! And check out the other two vlogs I created from my recent trip.
@@hopscotchtheglobe Thanks! Will check those out. This is part of my pre-trip ritual of seeing videos of the destination before we go. 👍🏼👍🏼
What time did you go to cusco? What month do you recommend? Im having a hard time finding vlogs that tell me what part of the year they went. Loved the vlog!
I went at the end of September and the weather was perfect
have you done a most affordable central american country to visit yet? would love to know which options are best in terms of safety, things to do/eat, accomodation for a 1 week vacation
I think that's a great idea for a video. Already added it to our list of ones to film in the next couple of months!
Going to do the Salkantay 5-day trek next week! Your video was very informative on what to pack, but is this just for a 2-day trek?
I did 2 nights and 3 days of trekking and 10 days in Peru. This packing list works for your trip as well. You're going to have so much fun!
Be sure to check out my other Peru vlogs from my trip and you can get a taste of what I did and what you'll do
Did you have any issues with baggage & carry-on for that LIM to CUZ flight? I was looking at tickets and it seems like you could only have a personal item on those short flights so I am assuming that my carry on from the big flight from LAX to Lima becomes a checked bag that costs extra for those shorter flights within Peru? Maybe that is specific to an airline, like LATAM.
Nope it was totally fine. I had my carry on with me the entire way.
I'm going to Lima too which I think requires different clothes. What do you recommended for Lima, cusco, sacred basket and machu picchu
This packing list works for lima too
Great video but the info given about Lima at 1:21 is incorrect, Lima is at sea level (150 meters above sea approx)
You're totally right. I said that wrong. I def meant to say about 150 feet and about 400 ft at the highest point (Plaza del Armas). Thanks for pointing that out! Basically my point was for Cuzco, you want to spend a couple of days getting used to the altitude and with Lima you don't
Where is your jewlery from!
I make a lot of my own and also have jewelry from every country I visit. The necklace is a third eye pinecone (just type that in Google and you'll find it) the earrings are from Costa Rica and the bracelet I made.
When did you travel? What month?
September
Lima is not at 1550 meters it is practically at sea level ~0 meters because it's on the coast
It can reach that at certain points of the city

Thank you for using the metric system 😂
I was going to watch until you pronounced it pic-tu
Thats how you pronounce it! I learned this while at Machu Picchu from the local guides. Sorry to tell you, you've most likely been saying it wrong the whole time...I was too. I did a CZcams short about it.
