WHEN SCOTLAND LED THE WORLD...IN WITCH TRIALS!

In the 16th and early 17th centuries, Scotland led the world in the persecution of Witches!
Over a one hundred year period, 6,000 people, mostly women, were charged with being witches, and were prosecuted in mass witch trials.
So successful was this form of judicial witch hunts that it was copied by other countries including England, countries in Europe and, ultimately, America.

Very informative. Unfortunately this was a horrible time in our history primarily against women. Such a sad, sad era. I plan on getting on that site regarding the witches and doing such research. Thank you for telling us of it.
