Just a heads up to give you an idea of what's coming:
    -Mafia Definitive Edition Comparison
-History of Rainbow Six - should release in the next week or two. Lots of games releasing nonstop so it keeps getting pushed back, but all that remains are some final edits.

Sure SS4 had that too, but I missed the moments of taking down the warship, having it run like a coward only to take it on again. Fighting with AI didn't make me feel like Sam was the one man army he often is. Sam needs no helping hand.

The events of Serious San 2 should be re-made and replaced with something new and then finally we should end the game at a new point in the Serious Sam time-line, finally progressing the story.

    So two things:
    1. This game looks absolutely amazing!!
    2. It irks me that both sides are using Starship Trooper tactics in those battle scenes (more so that the humans are using Starship Trooper tactics, Mental's forces get a pass since they have never been known to use tactics of any sort anyway). I don't necessarily expect them to form proper squad sized formations with proper spacing. But at least form a basic line of some sort. If you were tasked with designing the least effective formation possible you could not do better than the Starship Trooper mass blob formation, which leaves only a tiny portion of shooters in front to actually fire their weapons, with the rest unable to fire for fear of hitting their comrades in the back, but all of them still vulnerable to enemy return fire. There is a reason that the line has always been the preferred basic combat formation going from antiquity all the way up to the modern day. It is simply the most efficient way to put all of your combat power to the front. You don't need to study modern tactics in detail. Just put them in a line, with perhaps a few meters to the left and right of each soldier, and it will be miles better than this.

That's pretty cool.... which then he mentioned in the video immediately after I posted my comment. lol I'm glad to start finding some silly secrets, but I miss the fun of Serious Sam Second Encounter, or Serious Sam II. Those games took themselves ...less "seriously." And they were light and fun! Sam doing limbo and getting wasted with the blue village chicks, or having to rescue Santa Clause from a house chimney - it's not all this "The earth is doomed and all your friends are dead" junk. Anybody else agree with me that the latter games could be a bit more light-hearted?

When it comes to gaming, and more importantly Serious Sam games for me, the emphasis is on chaos, stressful situations and having fun killing stuff so it doesn’t get you. I don’t get too hung up on the graphics. One of the biggest crimes in the series so far was when serious sam 3 did not have enough ammo to go round!! This looks like a marginal improvement on that. But the first and second encounter HD Are probably my favourite Sam moments so far…
