#MiniBetrayal #Factorio #Tutorial - Hry
You know this game is deep when the "absolute basic" tutorial is 42min
i've put in like 30 hours in the last three days, the constant brainstorming i have playing this keeps me playing
Ive got 20 hours in and have only finished the red/green research and am starting oil production. There is only the factory now. The factory loves me.
yep, 100hours in an i'm just starting out on oil production. i still havent mastered railways yet, i have basic two way single train tracks so far.
i did get an award yesterday though: i killed 10,000 trees with fire
nice
Like a lot of people, those blue potions sent me here.
You can actually travel steam around in barrels if you put in the freezer overnight.
Im confused do u mean irl i dont remember freezers in game
If u combine steam and rocks u get coal
Coal is just freeze-dried steam. Thats why when you add water and heat, you get steam back
@@MiniBetrayal and absolutely no byproduct :)
@@MiniBetrayal I'm just trying to find it
I know this video is 3 years old, but I really appreciate the minute detail you go into. I really just needed the specifics of liquid production to make sure my plan wasnt going to start in a wildly inefficent way.
I appreciate the slow and clear steps you give to help teach us newbies.
The highlights as well. Very professional and much appreciated.

You should be a teacher. Concise, patient, and easy to understand. Thank you!
I'm kind of confused with oil but after watching this it has made it way more clear, thank you!
This is so basic, my deadass brain now can solved the "WHY I RUNNING OUT THE LIGHT OIL?!" problem..
10/10 would watch another tips from this channel again..
Even at the release of the game, your video explains everything extraordinarily. I am not a new player to the game, as this is my 4th playthrough. However, I learnt a few things from this video, without which my time of playing this game would a lot worse. Thanks a lot!
CORRECTION: 08:20 (thanks to fdl-fan on reddit)
When mining a tank (or pipe) with fluid in it, if that pipe or tank is connected to other tanks, it will attempt to redistribute its contents to any immediately neighbouring pipes or tanks, and you'll only lose what doesn't fit. I still recommend being careful about deconstructing anything with large amounts of fluid in it though!
CORRECTION 33:35 (Thanks Sydriax)
20 oil refineries would use 100 crude oil each... in 5 seconds. They therefore use (20 * 100 / 5) = 400 crude oil per second, not the stated 2000.
(still a fairly large amount though)
You should be getting monetized soon, congrats on 1k subs in advance
Second minor correction: around 33:35, 20 oil refineries actually consumes only 400 oil per second, not 2000. I assume the difference is due to the 5s craft time.
Sydriax quite right
deconstructing a tank with a lot of fluid in it is a great way to get around the petrol/heavy/light storage problem :-D
33:35
you mentioned that 20 refineries require 2000 crude oil/sec , but its actually 200
Thanks, helped a lot. For a game with complex builds, Factorio doesn't explain much. This was absolutely needed
You are a godsend, my guy. New to factorio; stumped by oil. I enjoyed the video & like how you covered each base/aspect. Other videos on oil were so brief & left so much unexplained that they were not helpful. You did a good job of explaining these processes to ppl who had no prior knowledge of the game whatsoever. Ty ♥
just started playing, was doing fine, up until I think this road block....game is not helpful! Thankfully your video is clear and concise, very useful and informative. Much appreciated.
I know you uploaded this like 3 months ago, but I must let you know... You saved my game! I am new to Factorio and couldn't just figure out the way oil works out. I'll make sure to implement your advice on my campaign. Thank you so much! I hope you continue making these awesome vids. (I watched the train one too, was absolutely useful)
yayyy I’m so glad you’re still doing these, they’re always very informative and comprehensive! Keep at it!
This is PERFECT. Searched CZcams for a while looking for a tutorial on oil/plastic/sulfur/pumps/batteries and all this stuff that, like you said, is kinda all sprung upon you at once. All of the other vids I found were lets plays that gave almost no information after 5-10min. This tutorial, (despite being 42min) is a "tutorial", not a "lets play", and shows you the absolute minimum to understand just about everything. Thank you so much : )
Bro...how tf you only got 81k views ? this was my first time watching your videos and i am amazed at the how you baby fed the these tips to me...you deserve more subcribers!!
Thanks for making this. Most tutorials I've watched skipped the noob parts like what oil spots looks like and the techs needed
An excellent video for a beginner starting oil for the first time. Well done.
This is one of the best oil tutorial's I've watched. Thanks for making this video.
Of all the tutorials for beginner, your series is the best one. Thank you!
Best Tutorials of Factorio I've seen so far. Katherine of Sky would like this too ;D
I just started a new game and was unfortunate enough to start running out of coal faster than I thought, this has prompted a series of skirmishes and around 3 major engagements with the bugs over a 300k coal field. I soon secured it and started a rail network, however I knew this soon wouldn’t be enough. Luckily for me there was a oil field I found while scouting for coal, which my train line also ran by, this is where this video comes in, I have now fully switched my electrical grid from coal to solid fuel! Now I shall be fighting the bugs in wars for oil and not coal! And my fossil fuel issue is solved for now!
Thank you for your time and effort. I've just begun playing and I'm grateful to have resources such as this.
Exactly when i was struggling to find out how to hook up oil into my factory. you posted this. Instant like and sub! thanks man very informative!
Absolute gem of a series, mate. Chapeau.
I have no words to explain how well made this tutorial is, well done, and thx, it was very usefull.
I've owned Factorio for MANY years... yet when I finally got to this part of the game I got so confused that I just gave up with the whole thing. This was of course BEFORE the Full Release of v. 1.0. I tried SEVERAL older CZcams videos and yet still I just gave up. This time was MUCH different! I think I finally understand this WHOLE mess so for this,. THANK YOU!!!! I'm once again at the point of trying to deal with the whole OIL mess. I'll try to post here one way or the other as to how well I did. But I think I got it (at least BASIC oil processing) so here's hoping!
Again, THANK YOU. You actually explained this in a way that was MUCH easier for me to understand!
Great tutorial! Only thing I would like to add - personally I find useful to pack acid to barrels as I can use train with just one cargo to go for uranium. As you do not need math acid and usually you do not transport much uranium that works quite well and significantly simpler than having train with cargo and fluid wagon.
Really great video, well articulated with plenty of detail. I’ve just started what is probably my umpteenth map and I’m currently at the dreaded oil stage so this will come very handy for my planning.
I really appreciate the fantastic tutorials (this one as well as the train/circuit ones.) No doubt one of the best Factorio tutorial videos on CZcams.
I really appreciate this tutorial. Best one I've found. Thanks!
Wow. Thank you for this awesome tutorial. I started playing this game just 2 weeks back and i was stuck on how to go ahead with chemical processing. I saw a few videos and was rather more confused than what I was before. Watching your video not only gave me confidence to try it out but also cleared all my doubts. I am grateful to you and I am trying this out as soon as I post this comment.
Best tuts in my opinion I've watched a few after buying the game in 2017 - I like how you show the details surrounding possible problems and their solutions rather than choosing to leave that out in order to have a shorter video. Cheers man!
Amazing video, i just got started with factorio and this helped me a lot. My first few oil networks were such a mess that i ended up restarting over and over again.
Outstand tutorial, luckily the first one I watched. From reading the comments below it would seem I need to look no further!! Great job! Subscribed!
Holy good god in heaven.. this is the exact tutorial I have been looking for. Thank you so much. Subbed.
Best tutorial ive seen so far. Great work!
Thanks for your tutorial, which is the most detailed on CZcams. I was stuck in oil processing, now I can go on.
Your factorio tutorials are the best!
best breakdown of oil i have come across as a confused beginner. appreciate the time, clarity and approach. subscribed.
You explained so well and carefully, thank you so much!
This is a precious video. Even if I had absolutely no interest in oil production in Factorio (funnily enough, I do) - this would still be a capsule of absolutely perfect CZcams pedagogy. I hope we preserve it in the national libraries and beam it out into space. Well done and thank you.
Love these absolute basics vids thanks for the hard work! subscribed.
Pretty pretty pretty good tutorial! Clear explanation, clear speech, good pacing. Thanks a lot.
Subbed because you pronounce schedule correctly in the train tutorial. Stayed for all your other great content. So good to find a new great content provider to binge. Keep up the solid work my man! 🙂
Shehdule
For the love of god thank you! Every other video I watched expected me to already know exactly what you layed out here, and focused on more advanced setups. Thank you for making this digestable for a big thicky boo boo like me.
Very clear tutorial, well explained. I'll be checking out your channel for more interesting videos like this one. Thank you for this video.
Absolutely phenomenal tutorial! Exactly the right balance of detail, accessibility and comprehensiveness!
Much appreciated!
Your videos actually make me want to play this game, subbed.
This is an awesome tutorial. I recently started playing Factorio but the wiki is quite lacking, leading me to look at youtube vids for help instead. This is the first one I've seen that's 40 minutes long and well thought out. There are some really lengthy tutorials that are 1hr+ long but just full of waffle rather than getting straight to the point like you did. Thanks for making this!
over a year late but you've got yourself a new subscriber here from this video, its incredibly well done, thank you so much!
Great video. Just what I was looking for - thank you!
Just found your tutorial and I must say that there was much gnashing of teeth after watching other videos but following yours there was peace in the valley. Well described, clear concise humourous and many other adverbs and adjectives too many to state here. I will be looking at your previous video first from now on saving me much time. Thanks
Excellent video. Answered all my questions. Thank you.
Dude your tutorials are the bees knees! keep it up! subbed!!
Great tutorial, thanks! I recently picked Factorio back up again and I needed a refresher on how oil works.
I'm currently creating a railworld factory, and my aim is to sort of separate the individual parts of the base out and transport stuff by train. So I'll have my main refinery with a crude oil train coming in, and trains going out for each of the oil products, leaving to where they're needed.
A clean clinical well presented tutorial. Very usefull for players who are struggeling with this part of the game. Bravo👍👍
You narrate wonderfully. I subscribed and liked. Great video and you deserve so much more subs. Hopefully we can see more. Great job.
Thank you. This video was extremely helpful just got the game a few days ago
Awesome video. I understood the most of it imediately. Also very well done edited so i can follow up easy.
You solved my output oil problem. Thanks a bunch!
CHRIST, this is a good video!
I looked so hard to find an explanation of the basics, and it was like searching for The Holy Grail. Nilaus, for example, makes great videos, but they are *not* for the beginner.
Advanced Oil Processing explanation begins at about 17:45
THANK YOU FOR THE TIMESTAMP THINGYS
Loved the video and the series! You earned a new sub
You did an awesome job here. Thank you very much!
This video is super super helpful! Thank you so much!
Nice work there mate. Thanks for this.
This was great, thank you very much! Subscribed!
This is excellent and much appreciated!
Really good video. dang. didn't know it was worth it to watch it all
Thanks a bundle for the guide, I softlocked in the tutorial and wasn't sure what to do once I unlocked oil refinery.
You are very talented teacher. Thank you!
Perfect tutorial, thank you.
This is pure gold! Subbed!!
thanks for the effort, made a lot quite clearer
thank you for your amazing tutorial. this helps me out alot.
You are funny and informative. :D Your tutorials are awesome, definitely feel free to cover other topics when you can.
BTW can you please make a playlist for your tutorials? It's kinda hard browsing all your videos to see what topics you've covered.
Very clear and concise tutorial thank you so much
100+ hours in and I forgot to make a blueprint for the refinery. Thanks for the reminder.
Really nice video. Well explained. Thanks for making this.
This is very helpful! Liked and subbed, thanks!
I love how the game has super simple mechanics with inserters, belts, splitters, assemblers, and others that all perform a single and simple task. Then oil comes in and kicks that simplicity in the balls.
Super tutorial, thank you!
Excellent Video. Great resource.
Ive been following another youtuber for lessons on Factorio, I have to say, this was light years ahead of theres as they were doing it while base building so there was more pointless rambling than info and I felt I had to keep rewinding to try and absorb certain points. I wish you had been a teacher at my school lol, Im going to go back through the others now. First game Ive had that ive ended up watching more videos about then playing.
A little useful point may have been an installation example , basically to copy but hey, half the fun is designing it yourself.

There's another tutorial where the guy just puts his blueprints and say: you can use this it works. I prefer minibetrayal's tutorios since they actually teach you how to do the thing yourself.
With this video, you've gained another subscriber!
Thank you for making this tutorial! :D
Now I can continue playing and research more stuff and maybe even build a rocket :3
10/10 best explianation i’ve seen!
Awesome video !
A tutorial about calculating ratios would be wonderful! Please do one!
And maybe one about Nuclear stuff? Seems also pretty hard to gasp for new players like me
Thank you!! Really helpful
Freaking love this!
Great stuff - thanks!
I was wondering why barrel, then I realized that at 4 chests in a square with 48 slots each of 10 barrels stacks containing 15 units of liquid, that's 28.8k in the same space as a storage tank, and barrels can be picked up by the logistic network
As far as storing as much liquid as possible in as little space as possible goes, you can't beat barrels
Thank u for the great video and the 34 adds that came with it 😀
This makes me want to play factorio again... the factory must grow.
Amazing. Thank you.
Absolutely amazing video. Your comment, like and subscription as requested, well deserved! 😀
This is gem!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thank you so much
I love it, thanks for the video
