Terence Crawford became the first man to stop Shawn Porter in a major indication of his brilliance on Saturday night in Las Vegas.
Unbeaten Crawford retained his WBO welterweight championship by twice flooring Porter and ending his rival's resistance in the 10th round.

I think the ref throughout the fight was superb! Not too involved, let the fighters work from the inside and work there way out of a clinch. This is refereeing at its best!

I think this fight sets Bud one level against Thurman, Spence and Ugas those 3 struggled sometimes mentally in the ring facing porter. here u can see Crawford never looks like he having trouble as if he knows he can beat Porter any round and just holding back and observing

Crawford’s ability to make adjustments later on in his fights is just class. His timing gets better and better plus his footwork is just unbelievable. I think Spence may have success early rounds but Crawford will out box him and land cleaner as the fight goes on. No.1 welterweight hands down.

The point that I’m making is Spence being very flat footed will not result in a victory against someone like Crawford who can move for 6 rounds and conserve energy for later on in the fight. It’s so obvious he has a lot more in his arsenal, but this is my opinion and I say Crawford by decision.

The longer the fight goes on, the more dangerous Crawford is. He may not be the most dangerous in earlier rounds but his adjustment to control the tempo of the fight as it drags on is incredible. And if there's a counter to shut down the opponent, he will find it eventually.
It’s like he has a magic trick that allows him to figure his opponents before the fight ends.
Only problem with this strategy is, he can’t afford to leave it this late with Spence

Crawford is so composed but whenever he lets his hands go he is VERY dangerous. It's crazy to think he used to be Timothy Bradley's sparring partner and even Bradley told him he would be world champion 🏆. Salute!

Its strange how Porter could smash the ground so alertly after being dropped yet gets pulled out. Can't say he was significantly hurt or even dazed. Bizarre.
He was badly hurt, hurt enough to be knocked out within the time left. Watch him get up , it 's not about his arms but his legs.
if you watch in slow mo, the chopping right from Crawford was super clean, but didn’t affect Porter that much. he just got too close and lost his balance, and so the downward hook from Crawford after that was enough to make him stumble to the floor. Definitely a KD but not a super clean KD and Porter could have definitely continued, though he would have still lost.
I think the punches that were getting him down in the end weren't the cleanest, I think porter's corner thought that his equilibrium is gone and he will only take more punishment so better to stop.

THIS is why crawford is special. plus the high iq. being a swtich hitter, footwork and etc. THE WAY HE ADJUST IN THE FIGHT IS INCREDIBLE. AND MOST OF ALL BUD SPECIALTY AMONG ALL OF HIS TALENT IS HIS PATIENCE... bud patience is the key for all of BUD FIGHTS. Simply bud has a good control and timing for his self and also very disciplined fighter.

I dont think age had anything to do with him losing. He couldnt physically dominate crawford and make it a rough fight. Deffo couldnt outbox him. Styles make fights and crawfords style was too much for porters.

Stoppage seemed pretty early IMO he wasn’t taking that much punishment and looked like he was still fit enough to go on
the hits he was getting hit with were v concussive, and if you know Crawford, who Kenny knows we’ll, he’s a deveztating finisher

I think the fight could have went on another 10 seconds and then the towel could have been thrown in.

Great father. Stopped the fight and ensured his son wasn't seriously hurt.
I supported Bud from day one and I still believe he is the best out there. But after a thorough look I can say the punches Crawford landed were not enough to stop the fight at that point in time. Porter still has a lot of energy in him and wasn't really really punished. I feel the stoppage was premature. Bud would still have won though.

Great fight, but i think the stoppage was more emotional from his father than anything else. Porter was definitely capable of continuing at that point. Maybe he would have stopped him later on, but definitely not at that point. He looks like he was just upset with himself. He didn't seem that hurt or out of it, even said to the ref he is fine to continue.

Just came here after the Crawford - Spence Fight, and I must say that Porter was a hell of a fighter. He could have won this if he had power in his punches. He had Crawford hurt in the earlier rounds.
Porter lost because Crawford was better skilled, otherwise if Porter had power, he would have taken him out earlier.

I respect that stoppage, trainers need to look out for their fighters like this more. stopping the fight at times that that is what prevents your fighter from taking the really damaging punches because they are compromised defensively from being rocked
