- Nikola Jokic is the back to back MVP, with 2 of the greatest statistical seasons ever, yet continues to get better. His skill set is unlike anything we’ve ever seen from a center, making him one of the most valuable players ever.

I absolutely believe that regardless of whether or not this man gets a ring, he has to be remembered as one of the greatest offensive players to ever set foot on a basketball court. He is unreal.
Correction, the lucid and unbiased opinion is that he will be known as one of the greatest players of all time.
Will finish with the most career assist for a center ever easily
Best team player ever. For sure. Who is a better team player?
@@theretrosavage I'm 8 months late, but he could very well be #2 all time by the end of next season if he keeps the pace he had this year but plays a few more games
@@LevelSmackcom Larry Bird maybe?
Aaron Gordon's FG % is almost 10% higher than his previous best which was last year. Making your teammates better is the ultimate sign of greatness.
Mpj as for now he is not future
@Dragica Andrejevic And MPJ absolutely took the Kings to church last night.
I'd love to see a comparison of Gordon's stats with and without the Joker on the floor. His style and skill set seem virtually ideal to be paired with Jokic.
@@tonyleukering8832 In every highlight reel, I just keep wondering the same thing. Gordon looks like James Worthy when he's playing with Jokic. He's got to be grateful, right? I mean, he has to know he's getting a free 6-8 points per game from all the dimes Joker tosses his way.
Jokic is the best playmaker in the NBA
The term "unicorn" is thrown around a lot in the NBA. This guy is the true definition. Never saw another player like him before. Reminds me a little of Dirk, only better. Three MVP awards in a row? He's got a target on his back every night, and still performs at such an amazing level. 🦄
He's similar to several players throughout NBA history. Kareem, Wilt, Bird, Dirk and Duncan... and he's better than 4 of them.
The word Unicorn isn't thrown around when it doesn't have to be. Victor, KD, Giannis, Embiid, these guys are all Unicorns and I can probably name a few more.
@@MrExcessum He is not better than duncan yet and he doesnt have a greater career than dirk, But he is more skilled than both of them he is even more skilled than hakeem who is regarded as the most skilled big man ever
@@dumbassdude8372 Weird considering Jokic already has 6 seasons (about to be 7 ) better than Duncan has ever had, better career numbers already that are growing rapidly, on half of the FT's, has multiple MVP'S, and is only 27... Duncan was merely an above average player that got bailed out by refs constantly
@@JSauer21 Is harden the greatest guard of all time? Him averaging 30 and 10 should put him in that category right? But he isnt. Stats is not always the criteria of being great. You dont become a top 10 of all time by being lucky.

He breakes the game. He has no flaws on the offensive end and his defence isn't nearly as bad as commentators are making it out to be. Absolute legend and offensively the most skilled center of all time.
Not the fastest, can't jump, but the Cookie Monster gets his hands on a top 20 amount of steals out of every player in the league not just centers.
Cookie Monster nickname is from Mike Miller early in Nikolas career.
@@Someaddress555s nah stop he gets killed all the time on defens that one of the reasons they lose in the playoffs
@Dragica Andrejevic Agree, if they could trade MPJ and Murray for a useful allstar and couple of solid role players while these 2 are still valuable, they would become instant champions.
@@dt-lg2oc Nope, the reason why they lose is because top 2 out of top 3 players are constantly injured.
@@vuknikolic4679 sure sure I'm just stupid and don't see any player from pg to pf run past him like he is nothing
The best part is jokic's passing is so good he doesn't even have to shoot the ball. He breaks down every defense in the league easily!
His ability to just generate the most efficient shot on every single possession is an art.
The moment he stopped shooting the ball is the moment every defender would fully anticipate his pass. His pass is efficient because he also efficient in scoring.
not every. last playoff the were decimated
@dragicaandrejevic2060 The Nugs are so sick with cutters and shooters with big honey on the floor. They dont need any ball dominant baby-stars like MPJ and JM, those players only take the ball out of Jokic hands, and that by nature generates worse offense. They only need a player like that when Jokic sits. Players like Brown, AG, and even Christian Braun are ideal teammates for Jokic.
Forgot one - KCP was a great pickup to play with Jokic too.
Guys, Nuggets fan or not, watch a game and zone into Jokic for at least 5 minutes and watch everything he does... it's a fun time full of laughs and head shakes.
Now I agree with the MVP's being awarded to him
Better late then never 👍
Welcome, bro! 🎉
The most entertaining player to watch of all-time. The spectacular basketball pass is my favorite play in sports-& every game this dude plays is a treasure trove.
The amount of simply wide open looks - and especially layups - the Nuggets create by playing around Jokic seems simply unparallelled and its beautiful to watch.
The most valuable offensive player... EVER.
I just got goosebumps.
@dragicaandrejevic2060 I've seen your various comments over the years Dragica, but I rarely see them on newer nuggets videos. What do you think of MPJ now? He was monumental during this run, his defense was great and outside of the finals, he hit so many big shots
At 2:32 , thanks to the slow motion, you can see how he move his left feet preparing the pass in the moment the ball left Jamals hands, that's mesmerizing
Freeze it at 0:08. He already knows exactly where his pass is going while everyone is still scrambling and was able to hit his man directly where he needed to put it straight up. He knew exactly how that play was going to unfold before it happened. It's honestly unbelievable how good of a passer he is.
Edit- I can't stop watching this play. He knows exactly when and where MPJ will be open before MPJ knew himself. It took him a moment to react even when he had the pass in his hands.
Love that you marked this. It's like MPJ is headed away from the paint and Jokic doesn't even care. He just throws it there like "If I pass it, he will come". He manipulates his teammates in the same way he manipulates the defense at times.
Really good breakdown of Jokic' offensive game from all angles. Great job!
Appreciate it!
Best offensive player i have ever seen. I fear for the league if he ever plays with another superstar. I mean.. imagine what he could do with Steph? Or Lillard? Or KD? .. Dear Lord..
Definitely. I think Jamal and MPJ are still recovering and should improve with time.
He likes cutters more, SGAlexander, Booker are better option, what will happen if you combine him with Giannis? But all combination between top 10 players is deadly.
Shaq had superstar Kobe Bryant to play together with.... Jordan had Scottie Pippen and Denis Rodman.... Kevin Durant had splash brothers curry and Klay Thompson... NIKOLA just needs 1 single superstar level player and nobody can stop this domination 💪💪💪
Or Luka❤
Imagine if the Nuggets bagged Draymond Green or Ben Simmons 🤯
This is Brown's rebirth... He play like a 20yo. Jeff 2! Incredible what Jokic is doing whit those passes🔥🔥
Class of his own. Shares the ball with unselfish vision. Relentless on the boards. Footwork on offensive, unreal. This man deserves a third MVP trophy. The coach, team and city of Denver embraces his dedication with a NBA Championship.
Passing and playmaking are the most important and most valuable skills in basketball. More than shooting or anything else. It will become even more valuable as more and more players learn to shoot better and better. That's the way the game is evolving for sure
we are witnessing history as we speak, ppl just don't really know it yet. this guy is gonna be a hall of famer
2 time MVP title already sealed the spot. But he has 10 more years of basketball and he's been getting better every year. Scary
Of course he is a hall of famer. Question is where his spot is gonna be in top 30
Theres never been anything like this guy in the history of this sport..He's so good it's crazy
Dude Larry Bird existed. Stop it casual
@@joweydelanota7421 Theres never been a center that does what Jokic does
@@ImLouPalomaBM That's a casual statement.
Arvydas Sabonis did exist and everyone who knows basketball is comparing Jokic to him. Difference is Sabonis came to the NBA passed his prime.
You probably know his son, Domantas Sabonis, who plays for the kings now. Elite level center but not at the level of his father yet.
@@joweydelanota7421 Sabonis huh? Idk if you've ever seen any footage of prime Sabonis when he played in Euro league but he played a very different style than he did as an older, injury riddled veteran in Portland..He played predominately in the low post and did most of his scoring either at or around the rim..he could always knock down an open 20fter and ran the floor well..but he was doing it during an era when European basketball wasn't nearly as good as it is today..The competition was far inferior in Europe back then...he changed his game once he got into the NBA and became a more crafty plyr relying on his high basketball IQ and experience..yes he was a very good passer but he wasn't remotely close being the type of distributor that Jokic is now..He wasn't even a poor man's version of Jokic he was more like a homeless mans version ..Jokic is virtually a point-center that grabs 11-13rbs and makes his teamates much better while scoring 25+ppg on 60+%FGs ...His passing and unselfishness is contagious amongst his teamates, and he makes his teamates better..,.Theres never been anything like him at the
center position...Your Sabonis comparison is lazy and inaccurate..Your corny for trying to win a debate that doesn't exist...Just be grateful that your alive to witness what Jokic is doing
@@ImLouPalomaBM That's hands down the most casual response i have read today. Not only you have a miscontrued perception of European basketball you failed miserably to understand why Jokic can exploit the game today in ways wasn't posible during Sabonis's era.
European players from Sabonis era would have trived greatly in this era because it emphasizes skill, zones and transition rather than one-on-one physicality of hand checking on half-court ISO plays. The rules were different when Sabonis played hence the slow pace of his era. Jokic plays in the fastest paced era of basketball which reflect on the league inflated stats.
You need to learn basketball so you can learn in-game functionality over looking at the statsheet.
Take a seat and stop acting like you saw Sabonis played in his prime you didnt. You have an opinion as your opinion is debunked.
Honestly, he's the best player in the league
Absolutely LOVE the dominance of international players right now. Jokic, Giannis, Embiid, Luka putting on a clinic!
No one cares about Embiid

Damn this is one of the best video that break Jokic game.. Just offensive monster!
Dude is a joy to watch play
The depth of this was incredible. Amazing video
Appreciate it!
Thank you for also discussing his play in the post. I think people don't realize how much that opens up the rest of his arsenal. Plenty of highlights of his passes, not as many of his amazing footwork and control down low.
He is one of the heaviest players in the league at 285 lbs and has a low center of gravity for his size. That allows him to back down nearly everyone for deep position and his incredible touch and high release make these highly efficient attempts basically on demand.
Me being from and living in Denver, this feels like a fever dream😂
If they could ever figure it out defensively. This team would be insanely dangerous.
If you could replace Murray with Jrue Holday and replace MPJ with a guy like Jimmy Butler or another 3&D wing, it would help Jokic so much.
I like them bringing in Brown but they still need to find a way to lock down teams defensively.
Jokic is such an insanely talented player, never seen anyone like him. So amazing to watch
Defense is where the Nuggets can improve most, but they are an offensive juggernaut. This squad should win the Western Conference though its a long way off. The team most likely to prevent Denver from reaching the Finals is the Clippers if they hit their stride timely. If the Nuggets stay healthy Jokic and this bunch could beat the Celtics or Bucks but I might favor the Bucks.

Bro that lil running, like sky hook, floater he does is literally unstoppable, and the most automatic shot In the game!! And the best players make everyone on they team better!! Look how great AG lookin wit Joker!!
Because he doesn't use his body for jumping and dunking, he'll be able to play without injuries for a long time! As long as he wants, because his efficiency is not kinetic but positional, like a boxer who uses shadowing to cut off the ring, deliberate and controlled! Zion is 6,8 and approx same weight, but he has to jump and absorb all that stress, landing on both feet and all it takes is a little off balance landing to snap a ligament, Achilles or Meniscus! Joker gets there by shifting his feet and using his big body to make separation from defense and do his thing!
Good point. He’ll have a chance at longevity. He is BIG & heavy for 6’ 11” so there’s always a risk of wear & tear, simply as a result of sheer physics, but you’re right. He doesn’t punish his body the way most players do.
He is offensive nightmare to all defenders, no one can guard him. Never seen such offensive skill set of one player. With that much offensive power he is for me the best offensive player ever, one of the best ever. Hope he wins the ring soon.
American badketball must be super limited if you guys havent seen such players
@@inquisitive6786 this level of offensive power could only be seen in the US, and few other basketball countries around the world, NBA gathered the best of the world and the USA. And yet nowhere in the world played a bball player with this kind of complete offensive threat, ever.
He is dangerous in so many ways, and no one can stop him.
@@decisivestrikegymdsg1574 Well yeah the nba sucks at defense because its a show. The players are allowed to do what they want. The game itself is weak
@@inquisitive6786 and yet Europeans and others had so much trouble scoring and putting up show against that weak defenses in such weak league for decades. What is your point actually, who is better than Joker right now offensively or who was ever?
It also comes at the right time and place. As a Denver native and sports fan, the only other time we've seen anything like this is Joe sakic and John elway.
Great video. Jokic is not talked about enough!
This video single handedly convinced me there’s been a shift in the axes of power within the nBa and that he’s definitely the best player followed by the Greek freak and then Embid then KD and tatum . Basically it’s the era of the big man once again in the NBA. The skilled big man. We had the era of the 2 guard with MJ & Kobe; followed by the era of the “wing” with Lebron and KD and Kawai; then the era of the guard and the three with Steph curry. Now it’s the era of the unicorn 🦄, the freak, the 7 foot position-less super player, that basically if you don’t have one your finished. I watched the bucks defeat the suns in a finals where it wasn’t really competitive and almost boring watching 34 dunk and drive and layup, there was nothing they could of done, really nothing no one could do.
@Dragica Andrejevic Smaraš čoveče.
Been my favourite player for a while and it goes to show his skill set is unmatched!!
Back2back2back loading.
It would take a lot to earn the votes, but I wouldn't be shocked!
Curry's offball movement and Shooting with joker's passing and offensive prowess will shatter every defense in the nba 🤣. Just thinking about it is making it seem unfair to other teams 🤣
Curry is short. So he spends too much energy making his own shots. He might have been the greatest scorrer in history if he had had Jokic by his side for a big portion of his career.
@@MrExcessum good take
@@MrExcessumThose 2 together would very literally break the league. The offensive ratings they would put up would shatter records adjusted for pace - Jokic is already the most efficient volume scorer all time, but if Steph was on his team, he may push the record higher
Nikola Jokic is a center playing as a point guard. While critics may say he has an unfair advantage. Most basketball fans would say that he successfully redefined the position of center within the NBA in the last few years. The thing about Jokic is he'll continue improving as a player for the rest of his career. If the Denver Nuggets management can build a successful dynasty around Jokic I'd say that Denver Nuggets are gonna dominate the league for at least a decade.
absolutely unreal video and effort. all these clips are from this season.... I havent seen any video break down Jokic's game WITH applicable clips FROM this year. nice work and definite subscribe. this must have taken so much time and its appreciated. respect

Jokic is an amazing player, one we've never seen before at gis posistion. But reminds me of Bird the most
Man I love Gordon's reverse dunks. Reminds me of Kemp.
The best thing is, the rest of the guys on that squad figured out what to do and how to play around him.
That pass at 2:40! How many guys are pulling that off, or even seeing it? Four defenders in the lane LOL
Great work! Love the way Jokic plays. How many best players on a title team have passing as the thing they’re most known for? If Jokic wins a title he would join a small group.
Reminds me of how guys like Magic, Stockton, Kidd and Nash could seemingly predict the future. But Joker is doing it on another level while at the same time, he looks like he’s just waiting tables. Proud he’s on my team.

If he was African-American and athletic he would be the face of the league.
If this guy was athletic he'd be the face of sports
Imagine how much money he could make from a team if he demanded it. The silent assassin. People hate on him because he won two MVPs. All they have to do is play better than him. I can’t see anybody doing that.
You do realize he signed the biggest contract in the history of the nba this last year right ?
He's also getting to the free throw line more often this year despite taking fewer shots. Even as good as Jokic is, the offense reaches another level his 3 is falling. I think that will be the final evolution of his offensive game.
@Dragica Andrejevic he's still coming back from an ACL tear, it takes time. Murray raises this team's ceiling. He and Bones are the only guards who can consistently get their own shots. Plus before the ACL Murray was grading out as an impactful defender. I think he just needs time to get more confidence in his knee

Man I pray Jokic and Doncic play together at some point. That would be the scariest duo since LeBron and Wade.
it wouldn't work as Doncic needs the ball all the time, plays built through him. Better pair Doncic with another bigman superstar.
@@gaminghub2472 nah, that's only because Doncic's teammates are not that good. When Doncic played in the euroleague or is playing for hist national team he play a lot more off ball.
Not enough touches for Jokic and Doncic. Offenses flow through Doncic and he’s also a playmaker much like Jokic. Too many chefs in the kitchen if you have Doncic and Jokic together. Scariest pairing with Jokic would be an offensive powerhouse like KD or Steph Curry. Hell, Paul George or Kawaii Leonard would also be too much with Jokic.
Honestly Steph and KD was more scary than Wade n Bron
Nah Doncic is a ball hogger. Most important team for a Jokic team is the ball being constantly on the move. It would seriously handicap Jokic
Jokara is CRAZY!
Jokic will go down as the greatest offensive player of all time by his career/peak ends. He’s already playing in a class only guys like Magic, Nash, Mike, Lebron, and Curry have played at. Maybe a few other names. The fact that his volume has only slightly dropped while his efficiency has reached an absolutely ridiculous level is crazy about this year as well. Cant wait for Murray to be back to his old self. Hopefully MPJ holds up.
Excellent video. Only quip: he is actually a _very_ good defender. The two best Defensive metrics i know: NBA DPRM has him in the top15, 538-RAPTOR has Jokic in top four defensive players, I just watched him play the (good) Grizzlies team last night. NOONE wants to try to consistently battle him for offensive boards: he takes up a huge amount of space for either a teammate or himself to grab the miss. He has near zero verticality: but it matters little. Does an opposing player with likely better vertical leap want to try to wrestle for the ball when being pushed backwards by that big body? The evidence I witnessed was a resounding no. The opposing team's interior play also just gets stuck in the mud: trying to drive to the basket usually gets stopped 12 feet out by help from Jokic - who has a low foul profile but high deterrence ability. Note that he does also venture all the way out to the 3-line to contest shots when useful. He also has great understanding of positioning to cut off passing lanes and even divert or get his hands on the ball.
I swear I see Tim Duncan in 90 % of his shots and movements in the post, and I can’t believe I feel this way but he maybe has better touch around the rim than timmy, although to be fair in the early 00s the kind of shots Jokic is getting now would be full of pushes and elbows, even like that he would have score at a crazy efficient level but imo not as crazy high as now.
Iirc he said he idolize Timmy or something like that so I’m not surprised but it warms my heart seeing someone dominate so easy just sealing or by the left hook after the swim move or by the swim move.
Duncan is more know for the bankshot or his spin left bank shot but he really dominate with a lot of the most simple moves, swim, seal, counters pivot, right hook, left hook and with a tremendous iq wich all parallels to jokic.
I don't think anyone else deserves the MVP more than Jokic...might as well call it the Jokic Award and give it to him every year.
Any team that Jokic is on will instantly become a playoff team. He will make everyone around him better because he always finds a way to get the ball to the open man. Truly a once in a lifetime talent.
When I first saw him I thought that this was a new form of the game, but it's just him.
Every time I watch a video on Jokic video my mind goes to a jokic/Curry offence, the movement would be absolutely filthy.
That’s just not even fair 💀
The point is that he thinks as a football player; offensively, lots of the cuts that he makes are typical of football (soccer) great assistmen. Is the same for doncic, or in the past for parker or nash. The Joker is top notch!
Definitely a Swiss Army knife of offense you try to take away one of his tools he just opens another and slices you!
Now that's a great video on amazing player.
Best offensive C of all time and it's not even close. Point Center.
I love this video. I love the analysis; it's very shrewd. I subscribed. It's very well edited. The phrase "... at the free throw line or on the elbow" drives me crazy, though, because the elbow is obviously a part of the the free throw line. I know that people routinely refer to the elbow as basically a step or two pushed off the elbow on the inbound pass, and it's much more specific, but definitionally, it's the free throw line area. It's the pedant in me; I might have said: "the top of the key and the free throw line -- particularly the elbow, where ..." I had to think through it, like, are you saying he takes many free throws without saying he takes many free throws (he takes relatively few and it's one of the worst aspects of his game, so probably not). That being said, you're the experts; you do you. I love this video.
After watching Jokic and luka, i appreciate more about past player to, like Larry who don't have physical prowess and impact the game...
Doncic & Jokic would be unstoppable
Jokic doesnt need another ball hog. He already has Murray for that. He needs players that play D like mad or are exceptional 3pt shooters and cutters. So a guy like Lillard, Curry etc.
@@MrExcessum Like Zion
What's fun, what's *so* fun hearing the analysis on him, is that it's really similar to what I hear about elite quarterbacks (throwing a guy open, seeing the play before it happens, reading stuff and so on) and elite soccer players (that it's about *space*, and finding the opening to, well...hit a guy streaking toward the goal, sometimes, come to think of it).
Like, I *love* that at a very, *very* basic level, everything's about space. About getting the ball where it needs to be *when* it needs to be there.
Love it.
Edit: Oh, and a point that I've heard on commentary for various sports that is true of Joker:
These are the best athletes in the world. When someone is making them look stupid, that's *the best players in the world* being made to look stupid.
The only weakness, if it were to be called one, is that he became disrespected by many because he never took those insults personally and only gets on the court minding his business. The media likes players they could squeeze some drama from. Sure he gets angry band emotional on the court but he never took the bait from the media. People says that many players have become the "face of the league " but we will never truly have one after the Lebrons, the Kobes and the MJs. Those who have both the skill level and the notoriety in the media
I think- like football with a mobile QB, that Jokic sort of has changed the landscape of what a Center should be going forward, just seeing what you can do with a high IQ, offensive center.. it's unreal. I've never seen anything like it.
Great analysis dude!! He is the Unicorn
This is a banger.

It was funny to see so many plays and he didn't fall down or get knocked down till 3/4 the way through. Some guys are hitting the deck every time they drive the lane! lol
Jokics game is gonna age so well too, he relies so little on athleticism he will still be dominating till he’s like 40 lol
It’s why he’s able to play so many games every year!
Baddest dude in the nba... Can't stop him
I struggle to think what this man can't do on the offensive end. And that's not where his offensive game ends lol, dude will try the craziest passes and people breeze over it like it's no big deal.
Social media always goes wild about guys getting dunked on - check out Gordon backing down guy and reverse dunking on him at @1:50.
a really good comparison to jokic is magic. tall, unathletic playmakers with jumpshot that betrays his size and the basketball ability to see 3 seconds into the future. an underrated, high iq, help oriented defence. however, i would say that jokic’s post offense is more reliable as he is larger, but magic’s post hook is not bad either. both play styles drive the defender absolutely crazy
