This was amazing! I'm 66 and grew up listening to D. P. To hear this done in this style is outstanding. Something else I noticed. Sina is all about music. Obviously, people come to her channel for her drumming skills. In this video, there was very little about Sina and her drum skills. It was all about the various musicians. Beautiful job.

I also just commented similarly in another forum (Patreon), that Sina was content providing rhythm support and not grabbing the spotlight. The fact that she lets her colleagues shine and allows them to do their best is one of the aspects that makes her so special. That and the fact she is a true humanitarian... This isn't even a comment on the song or music, but I needed to mention and add that these qualities (including her amazing talent) is what draws in supporters (like me and her other patreon members). Rock on!!

Chiara's voice soared, perfectly channeling the spirit of the original while adding her own unique flair. And the band? Absolutely phenomenal! Camilo Bastidas's tenor saxophone and Marius Holland's keys added an extra layer of magic, while Manu’s guitar work, Maria Cozzani and Leon Bartelsman's soaring violins, Janne Paardenkooper and Simone Minn's lush violas, and Sara Maraston's haunting cello created a rich and vibrant sound. Been into Deep Purple since I was 7yrs old. When Mach 2 reunited in '84 with this Album it was a pure magical blast from the past. To see it done in this manner goes to show how brilliant the band truly was(is?) You all are fantastic and hallelujah to yuh for your vision.... Ich bin 64 Jahre und stehe selber 40 Jahre auf der Bühne und verdiene mein Geld mit Musik. Bin mit Bad Co, Led Zep Deep Purple usw groß geworden. Habe einige der Kommentare gelesen und das Gefühl, bei denen die geschrieben haben, geht's nur nach dem Aussehen der Musiker und Musikerrinnen und nicht nach dem, wie das Stück gespielt wurde. Keine Spannung, dumpf runtergespielt, das war's. Ich verfolge Sina von Anfang an und muss sagen, weniger ist manchmal mehr. Habe die Kritik von Ian Paice verfolgt und gebe ihm Recht, Du bist ne gute Schlagzeugerin. Sehr gut sogar. Höre Dir das Stück noch mal an. Ganz genau und dann mache es noch mal. Mit fünf Leuten und achte auf die Spannung in dem Stück. Ich bin überzeugt davon, dass Du es wirklich besser hinbekommst. Beste Grüße Antek

In 1984 Purple stopped by Houston with Guiffria and Dokken. Perfect Strangers. Still ranks in my top 5 all time shows! So glad you guys keep on keeping Classic Rock ALIVE!

This version of Perfect Strangers will get stuck in my head for a few days now guarenteed. LOVE. and Great job with the horns, strings, and keys!!✌
Superb cover of a great song. I saw DP perform this at Knebworth Park in June 1985, where they were supported by Scorpions, Meat Loaf and a few other bands. I remember Ian Gillan making a rubbish joke about the song being based on a football team called the Perfect Street Rangers. Then he giggled so much during Knocking At Your Back Door that he could barely finish it, but that's another story.

I have listened to this numerous times. All the musicians play wonderfully, but I have to give credit to the sound engineering. The sound is big and consistent, but not sterile in the least. This sounds great when listened to with good speakers and headphones. Good job.
I have been listening to Deep Purple since the early 1970s when “Smoke On The Water” was played on the radio. I just had to check out this latest video. The boys in Deep Purple would like this great rendition. I sure do.

OMG guys! When I turned this video on I was sitting down and still had socks on my feet. Now, they are nowhere to be found because you all just blew them off. Deep Purple was one of my most favorite groups when I was young and learning this song was hard but I learned them all. This is one BADASS song. So well done group. It was only recently I found out the lyrics are inspired mostly on the "Elric of Melniboné" series of fantasy books by Michael Moorcock. Wow! This is music magic! It’s so nice that once again you had this great opportunity to meet and play that big sound of yours for us 😊 Chiara with her lovely voice and bass.. There’s that familiar sounding organ, which is great, and all the brass and that lovely string ensemble are really great and surprising novelty.. The whole sound is massive! Kashmir seems to have a been a great influence to many bands, it seems. Yes, indeed, I’m sure there are many of us who will be missing your boat sessions.
