The thing is Lisa had said Playing the blues comes from an inner suffering. So of course Meg was good at it. =)
Oh Lisa is a super hypocritic. She plays like she is more enlightened and caring but there isn't a single episode that shows Lisa support anyone who was even the slightest bit better than her at something she prided herself on. She immediately crumbles when challenged and will do and say anything to ruin them. Most of the time she "learns a lesson" but she never really changes.
I'll never forget when Bart starts doing better in school because he found out through an old journal, that his old teacher "Edna" (who passed away cuz the voice actor actually did) believed in him. Bart started working hard to better himself. Lisa out of jealous decides to investigate and realizes that his old teach was actually talking about her cat and not Bart. Lisa at first decided to keep things to himself but she can't take it anymore and tells Bart the truth. This of course turns Bart back to the underachiever he once was. It does have a bit of a happy ending with Bart finding out from Flanders that his old teacher did actually care about Bart and his future. While happy to hear it Bart still sticks with his previous class clown behavior. Lisa is basically Lois but in child form.
Yeah, that's pretty much been her biggest character flaw from day one. She's also quite literally addicted to the validation she gets from her academic prowess to the degree that she straight up suffers withdrawal if she doesn't get regular positive evaluations. To quote the girl herself when she can't go to school, "Grade me! Grade me! Evaluate and rate me! I'm good, good, good and OH SO SMART!!! GRADE MEEEE!!!" She says as she throws herself to her knees. Probably the main reason why she can't stand to see others rising intellectually; more rivals means less validation to go around.
Brian and Lisa are mostly the same character.

"Short Circuit" and "Short Circuit 2". they're fun little 1980's-90's movies. we don't talk much about the white guy playing an Indian dude, but all in all a fun watch lol

Hemingway committed suicide, Think talking to Brian resulted to it happening earlier in his life, in reality he was 61 when he did it, but in the clip he was clearly younger than 61

Calling Brian "Your dog" is what parents do when they want the other parent to do something about their child's behavior. Young boy caught being inappropriate then he suddenly become The Father's son. a young girl caught being too friendly she becomes the Mother's daughter. it's also a way to avoid the responsibility of punishing the child themselves too.
Like when Ron, Fred and George rescued harry. Suddenly they were "Your sons" and not "OUR children." Clearly Molly wanted Arthur to reprimand them himself and be the bad guy for once. lol. But hey. Parents gotta Parent right??

Spoiler alert! By the end of that crossover episode with The Simpsons, Lisa has a change of heart. Having gotten over her jealousy and realizing Meg's talent for the saxophone, Lisa gives Meg her sax as a parting gift before the Griffins go home. Meg thanks Lisa for her kindness, and Lisa encourages Meg to embrace her talent. They then hug, but Peter throws the sax in the trash saying their car is full.

Oh, man. Okay, so Earnest Hemingway was dealing with a lot of issues when he committed suicide. He was an alcoholic, dealing with depression, had chronic pain from surving two plane crashes, and dealing with severe mood swings for decades before he tried shock therapy as a cure, which, obviously, didn't help. He shot himself two days after being released from the Mayo Clinic.

The Johnny 5 reference if from the 1986 movie Short Circuit. There's also a 1988 sequel as well. It was most likely the inspiration for then 2015 movie Chappie. Both decent, but not quite excellent movies

Lisa Simpson has always been pretentious and annoyingly self-righteous, even back during the show's golden age. Heck, to this day it still greatly irritates me that she felt the need to ruin Homer's barbecue simply because she couldn't convince anyone around her to be a vegetarian (though I still love how it led to the flying pig gag with Mr. Burns, lol). So yeah, her getting jealous of Meg is very much in character for her, for better or worse....

Contrary to popular belief Lisa Simpson actually isn't the best at everything. There have been many times when other children have outclassed her. She's also extremely preachy and is the most Karen-like character on the show (other than the Reverend's wife of course).
