    Hey Brandon Butch,
first of all, thanks for the videos - this one and also the "30+ Tipps to improve battery life" video. I watched them both twice by now but there are a few things, that I don't quite understand. Maybe you can explain it a little more:
    1. On the one hand, you say "Don't always quick charge" - but on the other hand you say, it's better for battery health to quick charge because the battery has less charging stress because it's recharged faster. So....what exactly is better now and why?
    2. You recommend just to charge the phone whenever possible, and there would be no reason not to charge it, because it kind of prevents charging cycles because the battery is being kept at 100%. Only thing is to limit usage while the phone is on the charger, so the battery won't get too hot. But on the other hand, you recommend not to charge the phone when it is on more than 80%. Sooooo....should I unplug it as soon as it reaches 80%?? Or what exactly is better now and why??
    3. You recommend to always charge the phone over night. But not to charge the phone when over 80%. But when I keep the phone on the cable during the day, it is most likely not below 80% when going to bed, so shall I unplug it during the night or what? I don't get it... so I better DON'T charge over night then???
Maybe you can go into detail a little. That would be great. Thanks!

I still have 100% after a year of daily use on my 8 plus. I keep my phone between 40% - 80%, don't use my phone while charging, avoid fast/wireless chargers, avoid heat/cold as much as possible and don't charge overnight.

fh Are you charging multiple times a day? If your charging 3,4,5 times a day from 40% - 80% then your burning through a lot of charge cycles which could be why. Also only use apple chargers if possible.

    BATTERY HEALTH TIPS
    1. Charge overnight 3:48
    Sweet spot: 50% - 80%
    2. Use Optimized Battery Charging 6:15
    3. Avoid the Heat 6:58
    4. Avoid the Cold as well! 7:20
    5. Choose the right case 7:36
    6. Stick with OEM chargers 8:08
    7. Use Wireless Charging sparingly 9:00
    *Avoid fast charger as well
    8. Consider replacing battery 10:01
EDIT: I have researched how to prolong the life of your gadget's battery (phone, laptop, tablet, etc.) and I found out that you should NOT OVERCHARGE it because it exhausts the battery charging cycles. When the certain battery charging cycles get all used up, that's when your battery starts to degrade.
MY PERSONAL ADVICE (RESEARCH MORE): You should NOT OVERCHARGE your phone or any gadget you have. If you have AT LEAST 80%, you should now unplug your charger.

On the issue of Qi vs wired fast charging, Drew from Tailosive Tech demonstrated that fast charging actually degrades the battery faster. Now, I take his data with a grain of NAcL. But it does seem feasible that the heat problem is of greater threat when fast charging, due to the whole purpose of delivering as much charge (albeit safely) to the device. Whereas, with Qi charging, even. though there's the same problem of heat, Qi charges more slowly, thus not as much power delivered at one time. Couple that with built in power management, and I gather Qi charging to be the safer option. I'll continue to do my own home-brew experiments to see what works best. But overall, great video.

It used to be that if you treated a phone battery poorly, you would get a very short lifespan (sometimes as low as 6 months). Nowadays, with the advanced battery management features on iPhones, batteries routinely last 2 years regardless of how well you treat them. I just factor in a battery replacement every two years. It's pretty cheap to do, even at the Apple store and means you don't need to remember any of the things mentioned in this video.

should you also not use a fast charger every day for ipads? and if so, what kind(s) of charger/adapter should you use?

All I use is wireless charging, and leave it on the charger when I can, and charge overnight. My battery is 100% health still (Iphone 8).

Got my phone 4 months ago, and it dropped to 99% today. I always charged it overnight and i used optimized battery charging, i didn’t use fastcharging but then i think the actual reason why my battery health degraded is i used to play games while charging lol

what charger do u use to keep 100% battery health on your phone?
I have choices between a 5W, 12W, and 20W wired, and the magsafe charger with a 20W brick.
    What would u recommend?
    I have a 13 pro

I actually don’t really care, as long as my phone doesn’t explode
