The jump scare when I thought you said "I'm going to get three hours of reading in before GOING TO MY FAMILY'S WAKE" and had to immediately jump back 5 seconds to make sure only to realise you said BEFORE ANY OF MY FAMILY IS AWAKE. The shock. The horror. The confusion of you reading before such an event. The relief. And then the humour. I swear, the first 1 minute and 30 seconds of this video has taken me on more of an emotional rollercoaster ride than most books. 😅
I would love the timer method too! I think it's fun to see how long it takes people to hit 24 hours. But also, I really enjoyed this!! I could NOT make it so I admire your commitment!

Would love to see the other version, I think that's what I voted for too. Considering how much you read in general I think it would be really interesting to find out how many books would add up to 24 hours, plus it would be a lot more casual and less tiring for you.

I've been doing Dewey's 24 Hour Readathon twice a year for over 10 years now! Though I don't stay up the full 24 hours anymore. My tip, if you do this again, is having a book you've already started for the first read, because it's hard to wrap my head around a new book when it's 5am. Also, I definitely recommend having a stack of novellas. I do a lot of graphic novels as palette cleansers, but I know they aren't your scene.

I would love to see the other version! Although I would say to do 24 hours of reading in either 48 or 72 hours of time - so it’s still an actually difficult challenge, just not staying up for 24 hours straight 😂

you’re braver than i. i just know i couldn’t do this. a.) i had adhd and can barely read for an hour straight some days but b.) im so cranky when i get tired id end up hating everything i read lol
I think it would be cool for you to do the other type and compare your experiences. i saw one book tuber who did the timer method but she did “24 in 48” so there was time for sleep and necessary daily tasks but not so much time that it felt like normal.
ETA: the mascara does look different color wise to me!

I recommend reading After She Wrote Him by Sulari Gentill. First off, I just think it’s exceptionally written. Second, even though it’s fiction, she talks about her own writing process and the unique way she writes her books in it. Highly recommend

If you're looking for a good brown mascara, you have to look into Japanese and Korean cosmetics! I don't have much to directly recommend but I think my girlfriend has the Kiss Me Heroine Make one and she loves it

Tip for looking back without tilting your bike off the road. Bend the knee you wanna look in the direction at, put your hand on that inner thigh, rotate your entire torso and put pressure on your hand that's on your thigh, that way you counter balance your hand on the handle and won't steer off your path.
