Cold Start Up On 1962 Cadillac Coupe for First Time in 2021!!!!

My dad and I decided to start up this old 1962 Caddy today!!! It has been sitting here for almost 3-4 months and that’s when we started up this car back then. I’m still really surprised about something of this car. (It has to do with the way it started up)
Also no we didn’t took this car for a drive today because of the winter season and this car can never drive in the snow. We also don’t want to get any salt in the frame of the car because it’ll rust very easily. But other then that...that’s pretty much it!!!

The reason they're hard to start after sitting awhile is the fuel evaporates out of the carb, leaving it bone dry. If it's been sitting just pop the air filter lid and pour some gas into the carb before you turn it over, it'll fire right up first try.

Beautiful car! Great cold start! The gas drains out of the carb which is normal....You were pumping it good but maybe try it if you keep pumping on the gas pedal even in between cranks.. That's what I did with my ole 75 Eldorado.
