A good way to explain identity topic, Is to read Genesis 17:4-6. For who you are is what God promised you and identified you as. For Abram is now Abraham became a father of many nations, and at the time the nations weren't present but God talked as it already happened(which it still was so, even then). Like when God spoke let be there light and there was light. The point is: you are by what God says you are at the moment God declares it.

I stopped attending church because no one is teaching like this. Its either Catholic Lutheranism in my area, Baptist, Methodist, or non denominational churches teaching the same as the denominational churches do.
