this is my friends ramp. he built it for his wife and kids. hes actually an awesome skater. the ramp is a 2ft ramp. with a masonite cover. its really smooth. grinds great. and you can get speed off the bumps. this is a very fun ramp. people need to stop hating cuz this lil thing is a lil difficult to skate.

I've built numerous mini ramps and it all depends on what quality wood you want to get and how sturdy. Obviously a 4 ft mini ramp will take a lot more pressure compared to this one which looks like it's a ft and a half that being said most normal sized mini ramp require 3 sheets usually for impact weight etc.. 2 1/4" sheets and 1 layer of Masonite on top to make it smooth, which is what u see in this video it's very thin and doesn't last long outdoors unless covered, you also have the sides which are usually 3/4" plywood for strong support, however this is the most expensive material you will be buying.3/4"=40.00$ 1/4"=13.00 $Masonite 15.00$ you can make this mini ramp for very cheap however because of the low height u won't be putting as much force on it since it'll take little speed to get to the top with practically no vert. With most mini ramps you have 2/4s for the framescrewed in vertically not horizontal with the3/4"in plywood on the side and the 2/4s 8 inches apart from eachother. Now whe
Now in the begging of the video when the guy walks in you see a 4/8 ft wooden frame (which is the size of a sheet of plywood) with the 2/4s horizontal not vertical, so not only r they taking height away they're taking some support,along with that I doubt this mini ramp has 2 layers of 1/4 inch ply with Masonite on top since they don't need the extra support, they probaly took a layer of qtr inch ply out could have used 1 layer of 3/8" plywood which I would def recommend if your going to build a mini ramp this way especially if it's going outdoors. So looking at the ramp it definatly looks 12 ft wide with 8ft flats 6-8ft spine and 6 ft qtrs including the deck so that added up to 30ft give or take 2 ft. Now 2/4s r usually 2.50$ For a 12 ft one where im from. When you saw the frame he had them horizontal and I'd say half the space your supposed to place the 2by 4s. But still it's a very short ramp it won't see much abuse especially since it's indoors so a 4 inch gap plus the 4 inches from the 2by 4 (actually 3.75) that's 8 inches so the 4 frames cost roughly 60-70 dollars for the frames all put together and guessing the probaly they probaly used the same way to build the mini ramp. So the 8 foot qtr plus the 8 ft spine is 16. So a good estimate would be 1100 would say 1000 but it takes a lot of screws to build something lik this especially for outdoors and I didn't include the coping. also I doubt they used the 3/4 inch sides and pry just got a 3/8. so 1100 dollars and some hard work and this beauty could be yours but lik I said it won't be as sturdy You will definatly have to build it under 2 ft and u should be fine, but yea hope that answers some, Of the questions
Mines 8ft as well and it's 6.5ft in the areas where the beems are. You can still make anything up to 1.5ft. I have an 8ftx4ft grind box, 8ft long quarter, 4ft long quarter, and mini grind box in mine.

this thing is awesome looking but its so limited on the tricks you can cause of the ceiling, i was thinking of putting one in my basement also but the real trick is break the concrete that way you can bury the mini ramp half way in the ground and never worry about hitting your head on the ceiling. then you can learn how to catch air and kick flip to fakie cause if you try any of that stuff on here you will smack the top of your fucking head.
