Really enjoy watching you resurrect these cars. Wish I had the skill needed for a project like this. Had to part out my '71 Corvette when frame and birdcage rust pushed it past my skill set and budget. Still miss that old car.

Gas Racing yes we use new oem parts, let’s just say I would let my grandma drive the car, that’s how safe the Ferrari is.

It’s not cheap! This is not something most people can afford to do in their home garage unless you have hundreds and thousands of dollars in the bank. Cars like this at copart still sell in the 6 figures

Great rebuild? I hope you guys not kidding about this! This Ferrari never gonna have a real Ferrari pink slip. Nobody can rebuild a Ferrari without factory technicians and engineers from Ferrari, but defenetely can’t replace any parts with Mopar parts. This is just you replace a Rolex part with a citizens part. Will run again? Certainly! But how long can run safe, it’s another question. It’s just a salvaged vehicle after all?

Seems like great work. The thing that always bugs me about body shops is seeing parts put on the seats. I’ve never had a car without some marks or damage to the leather after being in a collision center. Plastic or a moving blanket would make a huge difference on the interior

@@lnccollision the oem factory welds on a ferrari, nay model are terrible looking. however, remember it is aluminum and aluminum stitch weld do not grind down

Very impressive work in getting that dream machine back on the road. What did you do about the corrosion resistance of the new aluminum parts? Ferrari dunks the whole body into a vat of E-coat primer and zaps it with over 400 volts to ensure every nook and cranny is coated. Obviously, there is not that apparatus in your shop so I was just curious.

Nice work , but you measure the frame to the ground and car is sitting on tires! Is it normal?
RustGus that was just a quick check, we had the car set up on the frame machine, I wasn’t able record, trying to record as much as I can.
It didn't have alloy pop rivets. It had Aircraft grade Countersunk Rivets. The is no comparison re strength

@@sky25011 :-) I had to looked it up and it's roughly 3 times. A 3/16" aluminum blind pop rivet has a shear strength of 310lbs and a 3/16 Aircraft grade rivet is up to 800lbs depend on sheet thickness . rivet-table-info.blogspot.com/2012/04/aeroteaching-aircraft-hardware-ms20470.html
In Australia that car is a statuary write off and it can never return to the road. They are parted out
@@jamesal0 we are doing the same model 488 right now. just order everything/rails/rivets etc with the 488 parts from wherever they are sourcing the 488 parts from in Germany

I think I might want my several hundred thousand dollar 488 rebuilt and rejigged with something more accurate than a Stanley tape measure using a concrete garage floor as the datum point. Have these guys never heard of a Car Bench?

They have a car bench and I guess you have never experienced the power of stanly tool, you can do the impossible !

I have a 458, the panel gap is the same on my car. My car is factory spec, never been damaged.
