I agree with you on all points. I'm usually just looking for a good sandwich to keep me going on a Disney day. The Patty Melt at Carnation Cafe is great. I'm waiting for that Birria sandwich everyone was raving about to come back. I think it was at Jolly Holiday though. Haven't tried it yet.
I haven’t heard about this sandwich. I’ll have to check it out.
Thank you so much for all of your videos! We live on the east coast and therefore always go to WDW. We are planning our 1st trip to DL and DCA with our two teens. We will be there 4 days and have genie+ park hopper tickets. Would you still stand by these and your DCA rankings for first timers that probably won't return for many years? I'd love to see you make a suggested 4-day itinerary video with everything from rope dropping suggestions to what you would eat. Thanks again for all the great info!
Very good summary- thanks! I would put docking bay 7 as my 1st choice but I love carnation cafe too! I should try cafe orleans again.
An argument could certainly be made for Docking Bay in the number one spot. The food there has never disappointed me. And even though it’s more expensive quick service, it’s table service level food at slightly elevated quick service pricing.
Pizza port is my lowest, Plaza Inn and Blue Bayou are tied for first with Carnation Cafe very close behind them
I’d put Plaza Inn a little higher if I liked Fried Chicken. I don’t *mind* it, but I’d rather each something else. I know they have other options but the chicken is what they’re famous for.
Great tour: quick service, buffeterias, and sit down restaurants. Great that you mentioned price for the quantity, Bengal does have that factor to consider.
I’m a orlando native / local with a disney world annual pass. I’m Looking to make a trip with my little ones to Disneyland (to also visit my sister who lives in LA area). These videos have been so helpful with planning!
What are all the reservations needed for restaurants in Disneyland and DCA? Which ones should I prioritize when reserving restaurants.
At Disneyland there is Blue Bayou, Carnation Cafe, Cafe Orleans, and River Belle Terrace. Blue Bayou is the hardest to acquire.
Oga’s Cantina is more of a drink location but also requires reservations as is equally hard to acquire due to the lack of physical space in its location.
At DCA there is Wine Country Trattoria, Carthay Circle, and Lamplight Lounge. Lamplight is the hardest one to acquire over there.
I agree with you that Cafe Orleans is number one! But I find it very surprising that you think that's tied with Carnation Cafe. I think I even like Jolly Holliday Bakery better than Carnation Cafe. Maybe you just like it because... Walt liked it?
Thanks for the list, tho! :)
The grilled cheese at Jolly Holiday is pretty good, but generally, I don’t like the food there unless it’s a seasonal sweet treat.
Carnation Cafe’s food was phenomenal last year when we ate there.
I would agree with you for most the places. But over half I have never eaten at. So sad.
It took me awhile to eat at all of them. And some haven’t been anywhere near recent.
Jolly holiday sandwiches are great in my opinion, above pizza planet and bengal bbq!
I’ll have to give one another try sometime.
I would gladly take ANY of these on your list over all the food locations we have in the Magic Kingdom....the food in Cali is sooooooo much better.....
I can 100% fully agree with you there! Except maybe Golden Horseshoe. I planned to eat there today. But I just couldn’t make myself do it. I’d have taken Columbia Harbor House or Pecos Bill over Golden Horseshoe.
But yes, Magic Kingdom sorely needs food help. The other three parks are vastly better.
I remember when Galactic Grill was basically a McDonald's
It still is. 😂
At the Coke Corner you can get a Chili Mac n Cheese in a bread bowl...its on the secret menu
I’ll have to try that.
@@SoCalDisneyDad
Maybe you could consider doing a video on Disneyland secret menu items...
@@princessintower1 For sure! It’s something to look into.
Don’t agree with Jolly Holiday being so far down-it’s top 10 for me! Also I never get good food at River Belle. They always ruin salad-which takes talent. Bangle BBQ is the top for me!
If I were to do this today, I would agree with you and place Jolly Holiday higher.
I’ve had a few more food items since and I’m warming up to it.
Just ate at River Belle again yesterday and thought the food was fantastic. 🤷🏻♂️ But I didn’t get the salad. Amy did, and she said they drowned it in too much dressing, but otherwise it was good. She would get dressing on the side next time.
Sad that French Market is closing
It is, but hopefully it won't be long. And hopefully it's all the same food. Just a retheme.
Would love to see where Club 33 falls on this list
Me too! 😂🤣 💵💵💵
We were in the park on March 7-8, 2023.
Cafe Orleans got the worst spot for me. The short rib was cheap and rubbery, like a chuck roast, with a gelatinous, gloopy gravy and bland frites. The monte cristo is all batter, and gross. Considering what they charge, it has the lowest return on investment.
Golden Horseshoe had the best fries, hands down.
We refuse to go to Star Wars land because it's not true to the legacy of Star Wars.
Everyone has different tastes of course. These were just in my opinion. We ate at Cafe Orleans back at the beginning of January and had a good meal.
Totally agree. Different strokes for different folks!
You won’t go to Star Wars? Ever?
Galactic grill is great for breakfast sandwiches in the am!! Allen Pizza planet is way overrated IMO and messes up my stomach! Carnation Cafe and Cafe Orleans are my fave also!
I went in 2018 and ate at plaza inn. It was exactly like British school dinners 🤮
blue bayou is good food CAFE Orleans is good Plaza inn is the best foo
I knew I would rock the boat ranking Plaza Inn so low. 😂
It’s good food. No doubt. I just don’t eat fried chicken all that much.
Idk if i can trust u hahah i hear nothing but horrible things about blue bayou and my sister had a terrible experience
I just went again two weeks ago and I’d rank it lower now.
It’s nice for atmosphere and the food is so-so.
It’s still better food than a lot of quick service locations, but it’s overpriced.
I’d probably shove Blue Bayou down to maybe 6 or 7 on the list.
No way blue bayou is not worth the value of food it just sucks. To expensive I can get better food at River bell the Cuban is fire. At River bell you have to know what to order carnation cafe is pretty good but the food the menus is old it needs an upgrade. Cafe Orleans another old menus need an upgrade food is old
