I don't think this is true. I have many opals and am born in January. Even bought them myself, which I've heard is meant to be bad luck. Everything has been great. I highly recommend Australian crystal opal or dark/black opal. They're so beautiful and relaxing.
I heard this as well, but I’m sure it’s wrong. I have 4 opal pendants and some in water in a small jar. Nothing has happened and I love the feeling when I have one on me.

There's a few incorrect "facts" about opal in this video. Opal in it's purest form is not necessarily colorless. The purity is not what effects the color. The color on opal is created by tiny spheres of silica that are arranged uniformly. So technically, more color in opal, is actually from being more pure. There's a few other things that are also incorrect. Perhaps read more than one page about em, before creating an entire video about them.
