    Thank you Ed for yet another awesome video! That bridge is indeed a beauty. Just wonder, given the huuuge scale of the project, large boulders, heavy machines and many people involved, how do you prevent the liner from being damaged?

    • @edbeaulieu5916
      @edbeaulieu5916 Před 4 lety +1

      Peter Svan We use a Heavy Duty Geotextile fabric below the liner to protect it from rocks and roots.
      We then use a second layer of the geotextile on top of the liner to act as a protective barrier for the large boulders.
      We’re always conscious of the pond liner and do what we can to insure it stays intact.

    According to the Aquascape Academy 3" round pipe facilitates a flow rate of 13,500gph and a 4" round pipe allows a flow rate of 21,000gph. What gph would a 6" pipe allow? That's quite a rise and run.

    • @edbeaulieu5916
      @edbeaulieu5916 Před 4 lety +1

      Sean Odonnell We have approx. 60,000 GPH flowing through the 6” pipe.
      This is a unique situation where I specifically chose the diameter of the pipe to add additional head pressure to the pump.
      It’s part of a longer discussion but basically I use a series of factors to according to the project designs and aesthetics to determine the desired flow rate.
      From there I look at a variety of pumps to determine which pump will create the necessary amount of water flow for the project.
      I then cross reference this with the pump curve to determine the optimal flow rate for the pump.
      It’s a confusing concept and I will produce an upcoming video on this to better explain it.

    do you weld the two pieces of polyprope membrane or do you just overlap it?
    was there any particular reason why you went with PP membrane instead of EPDM.

    • @edbeaulieu5916
      @edbeaulieu5916 Před 4 lety
