I think I enjoyed Ed's little finger motions the most. Very reminiscent of, "here comes the choo choo or airplane," when feeding lil ones, just depends on when you were raised I guess. Please don't change a thing! This speaks to my inner dork. And I mean that with all the love in the world! I've said this many times before and I'll say it again. You all are amazing! I wish I knew of y'all before health issues had gotten the best of me.
I am 13 years old trying to make a pond and one day I it would be my dream to make a pond like you guys.🙂

C.E. Pontz Thanks for your support!!!
cant wait to see the finished product
mbushe1 Me too!
Thanks for showing the foam pockets. Seems like a waste of rocks but now it make sense to me. Always amazing!
Brad Parker There’s a method to our madness.....
@@edbeaulieu5916 please keep teaching us I love it
Brad Parker Glad it’s helpful!
I can't wait to see this one all finished!
I went out today since I live in the area to see it and it is beautiful. You guys did an amazing job on it. It will be a nice area to go and relax by and listing to the water.
Man that is so sweet. I’ve been following the build.this is the one that got me so subscribe.waiting patiently for part 4
Polypropylene liner? I thought EDPM rubber was the best liner to use. Massive project and super cool. Can’t wait to see it completed. And THIS is why your the Professor!
i love this project. i cant wait to see it done. the list of things i cant wait to see.... the soil pocket by the cut tree, the flow of those massive pumps the Lilly beds, the wetland filtration system and that massive water fall. i really cant wait to see this one complete...
Mez Martinez Me too!
@@edbeaulieu5916 Hey Ed, I'm a huge fan.... Lol... Just saying... 😆👍
Mez Martinez Thanks for your support Mez!
Those are some BIG PUMPS Buddy!!
Atlantis Water Gardens The only way to go!
Regarding your "what can we do to bring you great content?" question - this project is a great example. Next time, please give us a shot of what it looked like before you started, a video of the demolition, this video, then the finishing the rocking, then the water in, the edgework, the planting and fish phase and a final completed project walkthrough with detail shots of the major features. Its big enough you can do that. Essentially, we want to see on this project the same as when you give us a home project from this is the yard to swimming and or looking at the koi a year later. Starting where we are is not a bad place to start though, so on this one, please do give us all the remainder! And your thoughts, in person or voice overs. You cant help yourself, you inspire and teach and I love it!
Monster waterfall! Way to go Ed. Love your detailed explanation of the waterfall drop-offs with the liner cuts and foaming in! Really like the tree stumps in the falls. Gonna be wicked!👌🥇😉
Geert Meganck Thanks for your support Geert!
Cool fact about how to create "push" from the waterfall, instead of the limited swirl created by a higher falls.
Its really huge.......love big garden like this.....
Ed, again your Explanation is second to none.
Loving this Pond build.
Looking forward to the next chapter 😃
Great idea channelling the water with the poly. I learned about the sump vault as well. Always well worth watching your videos.
Sean Odonnell Glad it’s useful/practical information for you Sean!
Ooooooh great progress!!! Those pumps are huge, hopefully the waterfalls will be flowing in the next video 😊
I love the tree fall/split idea with the aquascape! So creative!

Really informative. That waterfall is going to look fantastic. Thank you for sharing, can't wait to see the end product.
You have thought of every step of this huge under taking. Just beautiful.
Love how you and the teams repurposed the downed trees. Some biggins there Ed
Chris Wilson The trees were a great addition!
Amazing stuff, watched it three times and counting to get all the details. If possible, a playlist with your videos would be so appreciated.

Wow!
An aquascape ecosystem pond would be a dream come true for me... it would take my life time to save up enough money the challenge is that I'm a paraplegic living off an set income an it would take my whole life time to have that dream come true... I pray that if there's a way possibly all things can be made true with a humble heart and a positive mindset... having the drive and determination all is possible for with being in a Wheelchair comes alot of patient's and if I could I would put all that I have aside to make it work
I cant wait too... Please show us the pond 😊😁😂
Awesome video!!! Really cool and informative!! 😀🌿💦👍
HURRY UP AN' GET IT FINISHED MAN!!! Can't wait... :-p
What an exciting project! I really like that you go through and explain everything as you're making progress. One question I had with the waterfall, is why did you use liner + expanding foam to keep water flowing instead of something like concrete?
c31979839 concrete cracks foam shifts with the freeze thaw cycle
@@TEAMAquascape ahhh, flexibility! I never thought about that.
c31979839 Many, many years ago we used mortar but in Northern climates it cracks and leaks, the foam allows for greater expansion and contraction.....
Awesome video man!!!!!!!!
Tucker Rau Thanks Tucker!
So dope
Nice

Part IV is coming, right? We want to see this thing finished!!
It's coming! You can expect the video around late July or early August.

Thank you so much for your reply. I will happily wait for it!
Just the electric bill for those huge pumps ! How do you do it !
waterchildtera The main waterfall will be turned off at night to keep costs under control and it will extend the life of the pump.
The smaller(5Hp) Wetland filter pump will run 24/7
PART 4!!!
Is this just north of town, east of Rte. 47 ? If it is, that is one beautiful park already!
Ed, can you give us an idea when to expect Part 4
👍👍👍👍
Hurry up and finish 😂😁
hi :) great work. when can we see the finished product ? im suuuuper curious :D. Thank you in advance.
Hi Stefan! Thank you, you can find the video here :) czcams.com/video/oAzDlHciOKs/video.html
Wow how could you end like that? I knew I should not have watched this one!
Plus too much of him and no water in pond smh!
Hi Issac! Part 4 of the series is coming late July or early August. The pond will be filled with water! Please stay tuned and bear with us!
No support under the massive boulders?
Tell me how the auto top-up works?
I want one on my land ! What will be the final cost ?
Hello,
What model pumps were used for this project to get the 60k gallons per hour flow rate? Thanks in Advance.
How much would something like this cost
Curious when the project is to be completed so we can see the finished results
It will be finished around mid-July. You can expect the video around late-July or early-August!
Hello aquascape team, my grandpop has a pond. He is having a problem with algae living in the bottom of the pond, how can he control/kill the algae. He has a couple koi fish. He has a large pond canister filter with a uv light. When the algae gets bad he brushes the bottom and sides with a brush.
Hi! Our algaecide stops the growth of string algae and helps clear up green water. You can purchase it on our website here: www.aquascapeinc.com/products/algaecide
A couple of key things for a healthy pond are good filtration (which also means good housekeeping by the human too 😉)
Ensuring good circulation of the whole pond, so no dead spots where ammonia can build up and or oxygen can depleat to the point where it can harm your fish
It's often been said that us (especially koi keepers) pond/pool owners are infact not fish keepers at all because we take care of the water and the fish take care of themselves 🤔😁
There are many ways of getting rid of algae but it might be better to understand why it's there in the first place so here are some common tips that may or may NOT work for your grandpops situation :-
1) plant some aquatic plants in the pond to absorb algae forming nutrients (try an Internet search for the best plants for the area where you live.
2) avoid overfeeding to stop leftover food from rotting which can be a catalyst for algae growth
3) introduction of algae eating creatures
4) it's said (although I've never tried it) adding barley straw to the pond slowly kills the algae as it releases hydrogen peroxide which over the course of a few weeks will kill the algae (again an Internet search for amounts would be advised)
5) adding air to keep the water circulating, putting a fine bubble aerator in the deepest part of the pond (set on a timer to conserve electricity like i do)
6) uv steriliser bulbs are a great way to ensure you kill the algae as it changes its composition and helps the filters remove it but, yes I say BUT you must change the bulb periodically as it has a useful shelf life, it's recommended that you change it every 6 months but as I'm in the UK i do it yearly in the spring as autumn and winter here are not usually warm enough for algae to Bloom (just because the bulb lights up doesn't mean it's doing its job
7) water changes of around 10% weekly should be a consideration as a pond is a closed loop, think of it this way.
Would you like to live in an atmosphere that has been contaminated with your waste products and only the lumps being removed 🤔 (we are water keepers and the fish are keeping themselves 😉)
I'm sure there are many more methods but if i were you I'd try a uv bulb change, feeding slightly less and either/or adding some more plants or creatures to control what is happening.
Although my koi allow me to look after their water 💦 for them I still have time to fly a helicopter 🚁 from time to time 😏
Goodluck.
@@Tom_Prendiville Gave you a really good breakdown. I've used Barley Straw and saw some impressive results. One thing to keep in mind is the Barley generally inhibits new growth, it won't kill off the algae like an algaecide. We put barley in and took a lot of the string algae out while planting our bog and over the course of a few weeks all the string algae was gone.
Looking good but where is video of final product?
The end of July or early August.
how big is this pond??
So even with such a large pond, you still use a liner? Is that a combination of cost and versatility? Do you not worry about tears in the liner?
Great work by the way - loving this project!
Huggy Bear It’s very cost effective and it works!
As long as you take the necessary precautions and understand the limitations of the material you’ll get great results!
Ed Beaulieu looks great. I wasn’t sure if you were working on such a large pond, you would ever use a natural barrier: a clay mix of some sort. I have no experience just wondering what your alternatives might be to a liner... 👍
Huggy Bear Clay liners/compacted soil is commonly used for large natural ponds but it depends on the goals of the client.
If the goal is great water quality and to minimize water loss rubber liners are the best option.
Clay liners will always have a murky appearance due to the soil particles staying in suspension.
Ed Beaulieu thank you for taking the time to answer my questions. Looking forward to seeing the next instalment. Keep up the great work!
come on where part 4?
Part 4?
Where is this located i would love to come see this pond when its finished
Mahomet, Illinois!
Newbie here: wondering if someone can explain the reason why there is both that awesome skimmer AND wetland filter. What job is one doing that the other is not?
Nichole Mauriala the skimmer handles mechanical filtration the wetland biological
is there any part 4? can some1 gimme the link pls..
We're working on it
Do you guys contract most of this work out, or do you have a team that travels to build these ponds? Wish you were in Wisconsin because your doing my dream job of creating these beautiful aquascapes.
We have Certified Aquascape Contractors in Wisconsin! You can find a contractor near your location here: www.aquascapeinc.com/find-aquascape-certified-contractors
This project is about 2.5 hours from Aqualand, so we only brought a couple of our guys to work with the staff at the Botanical Gardens.

Why build a pond this big with a liner instead of a clay bottom?
For great water quality and minimizing water loss, rubber liners are the best option.
Clay liners will always have a murky appearance due to the soil particles staying in suspension.

yeah whats going on how can you put all 3 parts and not the ending video of it completed. what a rip off! was gonna follow not now!
