I love the yielding....because we must yield to God to prophecy, give Words of Knowledge, Wisdom, speak out healing, etc. The tongue must be surrendered to God for all of these.

So appreciate this discussion. As a recent revert to my Catholic faith, I would love to see my brothers and sisters in Christ to experience the baptism of the Holy Spirit and the gift of tongues. In 2007 life changed dramatically for me in so wonderful ways after the baptism of the Holy Spirit. May God bless your ministry for helping so many come to a clearer understanding of what life in the Holy Spirit looks like!

We are part of a Catholic covenant community in the Philippines and we found the gift of toungues as a very precious gift from the Holy Spirit which transforms you inwardly and testify to the ongoing presence of the Holy Spirit of God within you especially if you are in the state of grace, and allows you to open yourself to the contemplative and the mystical side of Christianity which many Catholics need to grow into in their relationship withe the Lord and, His plan for His people

When I heard Mr Kennedy & Fr Murr spoke about tongues I was so shocked. I have never in the Catholic context seen people go "crazy" always it has been orderly as for other churches I have attended their prayer services and have never witnessed them other than being reverent while praying in tongues. As for myself I was given the gift of praying in tongues on my late thirties ( now 80) and usually pray in tongues after receiving Him in Holy Communion.
Thank you all for explaining it so beautifully. I would never desire to do anything that would lead me away from the Lord God. ❤❤❤❤

I too, was shocked to hear Fr Murr debunk this gift of tongues. Why, all of a sudden, is this gift being attacked. The enemy is surely working overtime to confuse and divide us Catholics I’m 81 and have prayed in tongues for 50 years, I KNOW IT’S OF GOD. NO DOUBT IN MY MIND It’s just so sad to hear such confusion and attacks on every front. 🙏🙏🙏🙏
