    Boxing is psychological as much as it is physical and Groves absolutely *owned* Froch in the build-up to both fights. The way he did it was majestic. At the time it felt like the ginger kid in the schoolyard standing up to the bully and making him cry. Froch was a human highlight reel, the most consistently exciting fighter to watch, but the way George unravelled him psychologically was something to behold.

      Still lost, though. Twice. By stoppage - and he was getting stopped even if Foster hadn't jumped in and saved from being totally poleaxed. You overstate the significance of mind games. Yes., they play a part but not as big a part as that time when they're wearing gloves and hitting each other. That part is sorta more important, I feel...

    • @jayevonnwilliams3714
      @jayevonnwilliams3714 Před 6 měsíci +3

      Overstated??? Mentally George had him in his palm in this interview especially, n if u don’t think that had a big part in why 1) it brought in A AVALANCHE OF WORLDWIDE VIEWERS WHO (a lot) DIDNT LIKE FROCH n ALOT DIDNT KNOW GROVES, 2) FROCH visited a psychologist in prep for 2nd fight which he was forced into by big Rob Mc, cozve the way the world saw how his head was frazzled!

    Carls intro to the vid was goin to b patronisingly spectacular, but George was on it like a flash n dumbed it down n it was A WRAP from then!🤣 GREAT GENUINE EMOTIONS, n those who know the history to do with it knows what I’m talking about! GREAT MATCH UP BY ORGANISORS, which got more under carls skin cozve calzaghe events mirrored this, apart from George got the fight! ❤️ boxing, we need more REALNESS BACK, EVEN IF ITS JUST 15%, cor the fakeness owns WAY TO MUCH now!

    This was the best British slanging match since. Benn vs Eubank.
