I've said it before, I'll say it again, you are by far one of the best instructors on wilderness skills I've heard brother. You REALLY deserve way more subs than you have.
From you, Yankee. That means a lot. Keep on reminding bushcrafters why their wrong 🤣 🤜🏼🔥🤛🏼

Nice and simple video. And funny too! I think I already knew all these techniques, but I watched anyway. It was a good refresher, thanks!
And I agree with some of the comments - your channel should be much bigger. The content and teaching skills - top notch. Keep it up, please!

@@inforestsandlands You're welcome. Usually you have to pay an instructor to get this kind of info. BTW can you do a video about your brother's surplus bushcraft kit I saw on FB(if its not too much trouble)?
Great information thank you, going to definitely change a few things when using my axe from now on🙌🙂
That's what it's all about. Enjoy your next trip out 🤜🏼🔥🤛🏼
Great video here for a newbie like me ! Cheers 👍
Thanks a lot for the excellent description and demo, Joe. I did know the things you presented, but I have have never seen all of them in one video. Keep going and take care. Greetings from Germany! - Ralf 😊
Thanks ralf ! We both saw the same thing then. As I seen them scattered here and there so nice to have them in the one place
Dont use axes here in Australia but I thoroughly loved watching this. It's totally different but made me think of MCQ bushcraft, I mean that as a compliment, both wonderful teachers.

Life will make a better idiot. Love that line. Gonna steal it. Unfortunately, life is working overtime mass production today.
Great video joe, which is your favourite out of the 2 hatchets or if you had to choose 1? I already have the wildlife hatchet but never tried the lars thx
If it was my dollars brother (and it was as these were purchased), mine would be the lars felt. Just a little more nimble with the straight handle and smaller head. But it is more suited to the work of a tomahawk.
I put an axe in my ankle as a teenager in the '70s, only a little bit though 😃 Never did that again!
Instead of bending the knees I tend to kneel with the knees spread apart.
Glad it didn't do anymore than that! But any lesson you can walk away from and learn is never wasted. When I am not on gamil8ar ground I like to work low as much as possible to.
Hahaha life will invent a better idiot. Too true buddy. Great video
Sadly all too true 🤣. Hope your well, brother 🤜🏼🔥🤛🏼
Be very careful with any axe or hatchet always be mindful of the sharp edge specially if kids are around, these tools are super dangerous, saws 🪚 are safer and super useful for firewood 🪵. Axes 🪓 are awesome though 😁
