  • Everyones Emergency kit should be different but they should also start from the same place.
    FOOD
    WATER
    FIRE
My emergency kit is not for when I am in bad situation, although it would work in a pinch. It is there to keep me from ending up in a bad one. Remember in survival having the knowledge to prevent bad situations is just as important as being able to fix them.
Here we take a look at my emergency kit for such preventative situations.

Very smart kit Joe! Too many underestimate the importance of carrying a kit like this. Could be the difference between life and death. Thanks for sharing with us all!

I have a smaller one of those with a fire tin and sawyer 🤩👊🌟

Can't go wrong with the sawyer. Perfect for emergency kits. My main kit was a millbank bag and sawyer for years

I didn't either haha. It was actually ida who pointed it out to me. She uses it on hikes. Can even get it in little sachets and those pic and mix stands they have in store.

Great content Joe, as always ! The cordage might be also useful for tourniquet in a bleed out situation. I wish someone would do a quick way to do that with one arm or hand that's useless, for example (using teeth and the other arm/hand??).

The HydraPak Seeker water storage pouches aren't meant for boiling water. It could be dangerous to put boiling water inside them. My 3 liter Seeker says on the side +65°C / +140°F.
I don't know why these have this temperature limitation, but I wouldn't want to find out with pouch full of boiling water inside my jacket either.

Agreed and very sound advice, brother. it's why I say near boiling. These ones are 3 years old. I use them in winter all the time(documented on my other channels). Living in sweden, I use the little ones for hand warmers. They have had boiling water in them more than I can count. I let them cool slightly before I put them in my pockets. I think it's more a case of "if you end up scalding yourself, don't sue us as we warned you" type thing.
I have seen stainless bottles rupter there lid seals with boiling water too. It's a temper mental game. But this is my survival kit. Everything in it has to have more than one use to justify its presence. Just my two cents in this. They ain't failed me yet. But something I will be more cautious of.

      Hey Lisa! Thanks for watching.
They are breast milk storage bags. Cheaper and more usable than the average tiny ziplock.
