Even your magic touch, LTE, was not enough to inspire me to want to visit this resort. Acres of flat grass put me in mind of a school playing field, and the flat roofed buildings were not unlike my old school! Next!
WOW! And in Sicily no less!! 😱 Such a remarkable place! It is interesting to read some of the comments 😏. If you have never been to Sicily, a lot of it is barren land, especially when travelling from one end to another, it’s very much like that, but it is a unique experience in that ...there is so much beauty, history, and so much culture there! The resort reminded me of some very high end, exclusive ones I’ve visited in 🇲🇽 but to think that this one is in Sicily, is quite incredible! I expect once this pandemic phases out it will be swarmed! Perhaps this is the best time to travel there after all 😎!

Unique resort in Europe. Beach is not out of a dream but much more space than in other resorts
Mondellos Beach ⛱ is one of the best beaches i have seen in Europa and the Caribbean... worth a trip
Love the pool and the beach view. Awesome place.
We spent 10 days at Verdura in 2012. It was fantastic. We were there with the International Seniors Amateur Golfing Society for a week long tournament. The rooms and service were great. We loved the two Kyle Phillips Golf courses plus the 9 hole 3 par course which wraps around the spa. We also enjoyed going into Sciacca a old fishing village just 15 minutes from the resort. We found some really great local restaurants there. We highly recommend Verdura, it's well worth the drive from the airport.
Our golf group is headed back there in October of 2025! We can't wait to return.
Italy should be a favorite place for all to visit. Be safe and enjoy 😉

Very nice presentation. Thank you for taking us there, Doctor. It's an...interesting facility and architectural choice. I lived through quite a bit of the mid-century but never developed an appreciation for the mid-century design aesthetic. And the Verduro Resort only reinforces the way I feel. Maybe a few of those "Sicilian Mojitos" would help, though.
I adore Sicily but I don't like the look of this place at all. The design seems soul-less and it feels like a mass-tourism all-inclusive rather than a luxury destination. There just didn't seem anything to distinguish it except perhaps the Amare beachfront restaurant and the spa pool. I appreciate the hotel's airiness given Sicilian summer temperatures but better luck in your travels next time Luxury Travel Expert!
Is it 430€ from the airport to the resort and back ?? That's expensive
$259 USD each way? That is really expensive...
Try the city of Palermo. There you will find more authentic Italian flair than in this hotel. And for a budget. And Mondello beach isn't far away.

We stayed her about 7 years ago where it was really The hotel to go to. I am sorry you missed the luscious breakfast buffet, it really was incredible. Our only disappointment at the time was the beach area. We loved the spa and found the room, at that time, to be very comfortable.
Well, I'm a few days late on viewing this beautiful resort, Everything about it is awe-inspiring. Its definitely time for a holiday escape. There were a few highlights that caught my attention. (1) I loved the deco of the resort. The loungers were plushed and comfy. (2) The public areas inside of the resort was wide, roomy, and spacious, The space invites guests to come and sit awhile. And, (3) That POOL. I know its calling my name. I also loved the beach area. I have never stayed at this resort. But, I can say that it has popped up on my bucket list. I'm making future plans NOW!!! Thanks to The Luxury Travel Expert. Excellent video.
The decore seemed a bit outdated to me. The rooms also reminded me of rooms you would find in places like Phuket not Italy.

Hello. The first thought that came to mind was of an Oasis in the desert. Then Zighy Bay Oman came to mind. Such a lovely resort. One, I think many of us would kill to go visit, right about now, since we cannot leave Canada, and get back into so easily.

I spent a week here and was so unhappy with the resort we checked out early. The service was appalling. 20 to 30 min wait every morning for tea or coffee with breakfast. Our room was Spartan rather than minimal. The pool was coated in algae and no one swam in it. The wooden walk ways were slippy with algae and the grass permanently sodden. The food was not what I’ve come to expect from 5* european hotels. The resort was hosting an enormous golfing group from the USA which meant there was nowhere quiet to relax. We fled the resort each day returning only to sleep. It put me off Rocco Forte hotels.

To fullfill your great presentations it would be great, if you could add also the price information, like the price per night to get better comprehension of the price quality ratio of the various destinations. In this special case the price of limo service sounded overpriced. That leads easily to conclusion that the rest follows the same line. Ppl also critisized a lot of the spartan style of this venue, and lack of Italian and Sicilian ambiance, but on the other hand it offers lot of space in this covid time, nice beach and super sized pool plus golf facilities, so In the end all those things are matter of taste. Thank you for sharing, you have done out standing job showing the various potential bucket list destinations. Kiitos!

Outstanding narrative of the resort. Great music that enhances the all around nature and a state of being surrounded by wholesome environs. However, I do not like the minimalism look and they should have had an infinity pool which is the latest and they have to make sure that the water from the pool does not leak like we saw in the video. Is there any music available other than your own via CZcams and/or such? Are there any tennis courts? Is the sea always that rough and then to walk all over pebbles and rocks?

Well, about this particular hotel: it might be expensive, but definitely it's VERY FAR BELOW the many others you've posted. Quality, looks, design, everything! This place is so average, we hardly believed it was actually in your channel. With all due respect, I'd suggest to just let it go from this exclusive hand picked collection of great places you've visited. Best regards!

Very nice drone work, LTE! However, nothing about this place was attractive. Very sterile. No charm at all. Barren. It felt very 'blah'. Don't get me wrong! Your production work is excellent as always. And you did your best to put it in good light. But, I don't think there was any redeeming this place. Even the sunset was dreary. This would be a no go on my list. Not my cup of T. Glad you show the misses as well as the hits, though, because that is always informative. My guess is you probably wouldn't return either ...

When you say “I was upgraded to a ….., during my stay” do you mean you were upgraded on check in or you checked in and then they realised who you were and upgraded you?

I didn’t like this at all. Barren setting, almost no trees... could be anywhere, the Canaries, Cyprus, etc. Didn’t feel very Italian at all. Everything about it, from the architecture to the furniture and op food just seemed very soulless, could be a four star hotel literally anywhere.
That, and the muddy rocky beach have the atmosphere of a Motel 6 in Bakersfield or El Paso.
Yes. Sometimes it gave me the impression of a suburban concrete desert - depressing views, especialy on the way to the suites. Not worth any travel or money.

33:32 You cant trust anyone is actually following proper hygiene protocols in any circumstances. Even if it's low probability the kitchen staff could transmit via contaminated prepared food, follow the rules and you will not need to complain about shut down establishments.

I think this resort reminds me of an idealised 1960s style, the sort of thing you would see drawn in the jet-set era travel magazines in their vision for future holidays. Interesting, but not my kind of style. A lot of people in the comments are criticising this resort as soulless and bland, I can see what they mean, but I'm not really seeing all that much difference between this and other modern-style hotels and resorts LTE seems to like, it's just this one is more spaced-out.

Love the cinematography and the food -- but that's probably because I'm always hungry. I do share the same sentiments with the others about the aesthetics of the hotel. The design of your room is confusing, the landscape is too sparse, and the wellness center is too "clinical". I kinda like how it looks at night but that's about it. Maybe the hospitality makes up for the poor ambience.

This is the first video I have had to stop watching...not impressed at all and the room?!
I am sorry. I am not going to give a Thumbs Down because I respect your work too much. But this hotel PALES in comparison to every single other hotel you have displayed over the years. The lay out is awkward, the rooms are way too far from everything else, they can use a paint job, the staff is half respectful and knowledgeable of the masks, the beach is not the best, and well, I could go on. Not my favorite at all unfortunately.
