  • Flip arrows are a very handy feature in Revit. They can quickly flip a family Left/Right or Front/Back so you don't have to use Mirror. They work in conjunction with the Space Bar also... which means, the Space Bar activates them if they are present. This Revit Tip shows how to add them and how they work.

    Once you made the sound effects, it made total sense!

      I know! Right? Sound effects really help design! I think each command in Revit should have a sound effect associate with it. :D

    Is it flipping the host objects with it in the project file? It get disoriented when I try.

      No.. if you flip a wall, the door and windows hosted onto it do not flip.. they stay oriented where they were.
      Also if you flip a door or window… it will not flip the wall it is hosted to.

      @@miketaylor8211 thanks. I am asking about other face based components

      @@johnwdsouza1 Face Hosted items will stay facing the direction your place them even when the wall is flipped. EXAMPLE: If you have a face hosted light fixture on the exterior of your building, you can flip the wall.. and the light fixture will still be on the outside of your building.

    hey, one question how do you automatically get the area tag from the area plan in floor plan view?

    • @miketaylor8211
      @miketaylor8211  Před 2 lety

      You can set which TAG populates onto different items. Example: I can set which tag to automatically pop in for a door or a window or a ROOM. If you want to set it... go to the Annotate Tab. Then you will see a group of icons with a group name of 'Tag'. Right next to the word Tag you will see a dropdown arrow. Click that and you will see the dialog box where you can set which tag 'automatically' places upon adding the family!
