    It teaches that the Jewish religion was created by the Jewish people and was not a revelation from God. Most reconstructionists reject the idea of any such supernatural being. They also reject divine revelation and the doctrine of the Jews being God's 'chosen people'. But reconstructionism is not secular.
    Instead of god being a figure but as nature itself - a god was present in nature
    Reconstructionism is distinguished from other branches of Judaism by its theology. Influenced by the popular religious naturalism of his time, Kaplan did not accept the concept of God as person but rather saw God as the Power in the universe that makes for righteousness and salvation.
