Awesome video. I was about to buy an Xdj Rx2, which was great but for a bit $$ it feels like you get a WHOLE lot more with this bad buy. Just literally bought one. Just have to wait six weeks for it too arrive!
Nice session...., I just had fun this afternoon playing around with it.... just plugged in my rekordbox usb stick it worked well with with all my tags, artwork and hotcues....nice piece of gear ;-)
maybe you can answer me :) so you use recordbox and have your usbstick with cues so you can play on cdjs right? and the same stick worked on the denon prime? thats what i want to do as i have a denon mcx8000 and i play standalone on that one, so want to have the option to play standalone on cdjs using the same stick
So if your usbstick was prepared on Engine Prime Software I don't think it will work on cdj's , the other way around is working I use and prepare all my library within Rekordbox I used that usbstick and pluged it into the prime 4 it worked and I could see all my playlists and hot cues, it took 4 min to analyse the 62 gb stick

Hmm, not sure if they will do that. It currently looks like Pioneer isn't reacting to ANY of Denon's innovative products. Also seems like they are not willing to lower their prices, even tho in average, Denon's equipment costs around half of the price of Pioneer's. I wouldn't wait for Pioneer to bring out something like that or anything that could even compete to Denon, althought they are killing themselves with that.

This would be just PERFECT!
Just so you know I have no experience with any of this type of equipment but why would you want a motorized platter. I get that it simulates vinyl having something turning but is there any other benefit? I see people using non motorized platters with high success doing everything from long seamless mixes to scratch battles and using my logic it just seems like an unnecessary expense to manufacture.
@@FearRua it's just personal preference. Having motorized platters just makes it a more immersive, physical experience.

It's a standalone with a controller mode. Its not a controller
@@jbucku324 yes a standalone by all definitions is still a controller it just has a tablet built onto it or you can plug it into a pc to use a more complete version of the software in what you call "controller mode"
@@FearRua the sc5000 has a controller mode also but you don't call it a controller. when you go on Denons website the prime 4 is not listed under controllers
Denon doesn't write definitions they market. It is a controller a standalone CONTROLLER all of them are except the turntables they all control the software that actually plays the music. If it has an interface that you react with to control the software to manipulate digital music it is a controller it doesn't matter if the software is internal or external. The Prime 4 is a controller with laptop built into it. It is both more than a controller and a controller at the same time. Its not that hard, why are you so against the word controller?

Does anyone know if the prime 4 supports manual loop in/out point adjustment with the jog wheel or otherwise? I don't mean the quantized loop lengths (1/2, 1/4, ...) -- I'm talking about millisecond precision adjustments.

Denon , pioneer or numark what’s your preference?
Mine has to be Pioneer. Had switched to Numark, but found myself back to #PioneerDJ can't deny the quality and functionality in their products. Some things may be small but in the larger scheme of things, they all make it a much more enjoyable experience.
Having used all 3 brands, Numark is beginner stuff really like semi pro, Denon used to be pro mobile DJ and Pioneer are industry standard club dj so you need to know how to operate a Pioneer CDJ but Denon's Prime stuff looks amazing and could take over the club scene.
Are you comfortable scratching with these pads or should they be bigger
I've heard they're tactile and responsive, but could have been bigger. Seems to be the biggest knock on the controller.

Amazing, prime4 or tractor S4 mk3? Lets leave aside stand alone feature. Which one should i buy to practice on? Please comment (is it difficult to play on cdj nxs 2 if I practice on a tractor s4? This is my MaIN doubt
you would hate the nexus 2000s. the S4 is garbage lol. if you’re a beginner id suggest one of the numark or pioneer dj controllers around $300 or so. they have everything youd want or need and are legit. this is for someone with at least ten years of continuous dj experience

i use denon engine and set my cuepoints there, i dont have any cdj/xdj to test on but i want to have a usb stick with me so i can play at any cdj, it there a simple way to do this? (i mix standalone on my mcx8000 but want to have the option to mix on cdjs)
I have the Denon to but mainly use it with Serato 😉 It works just as well in Standalone mode tho! If you want to DJ with CDJs/XDJs in Standalone mode using a USB stick, you would need to make another usb stick analysed in Recordbox.

Definitely Prime 4... more feature, more power, more performance, awesome full HD touche screen with 55 FPS (RX2 screen is shit), more music in one unit, absolutely standalone, no need computer for prepare music. analyze track on the fly and more function...

Aggressive processing that makes everything right now kind of dry, sameish-sounding from track to track, lacking the lowest-level detail, and missing some brilliance up top. Just doesn't have the transparency of the Pioneer to the original track's own unique texture and tone, and almost sounds dynamically-compressed or something. Bit gritty even and without the Pioneer's "inner light". Certainly the keylock while in negative pitch does sound surprisingly good, though, and the highs don't break up as much or become as brash, and the mids don't get glassy. Does sound solid and organic. Still, I hope they can improve it.
Looks like a toy... why does Roland and Denon have a massive problem with colors?
I like the colors and so do a lot of other people.
@@FearRua I can imagine. I like the style of Pioneer much more. Just the Soundquality of the SX Series is not good.
