Wooooo! Amazing! All of it. Cool to see Moheni collaborating with amazing Indian artist (or Pakistani?) & putting her spin on traditional related music from her roots culture. No limits! 🙏🏾🧡🎶
WOW!! I wasn't expecting THAT when I clicked on the link! Quite amazing - and well recorded too. Fascinating harmonies and intricate details. First Class and THANKS!!
I never learnt even the rudiments of Indian Music. But, being born Indian & living here all my life I have begun to understand that this is really complex stuff! Jugalbandi at its best!!
Absolutely!! I’m a classically, university trained musician.. I still only understand Indian/Middle Eastern music to a certain extent having been born in the US. It’s very similar to someone hearing Charlie Parker playing bebop jazz of the 1950’s.. To the uninitiated or untrained ear, the very complex harmonic motion/improvisation just sounds like random disorganized noise (like a cat walking across a piano)!
Indian & Middle Eastern music is soo complex to me coming from my background in the algebraic, structured meter, strict form of Western European derived music!!
@@icu22day Umm okay.. Although I don’t think I understand the correlation between origins of algebra & Middle Eastern/Indian musical theory. In fact Western classical music, though mostly considered as European in origin. In fact the beginning organization & systems of notation in meter, tempo, modal & harmonic classification was developed by the Greeks! Which I believe is where the origins of algebra began correct? Later the strict ornamental theory was added to structure music of the Baroque, Classical, and Romantic eras standardized by Gregorian monks who discounted microtonal multi-tempo music (eastern sounds) as heretical and evil..
Actually, like such people as Tigran Hamasyan, she has married her talent in her chosen instrument with music she is conversant with to produce some very interesting collaborations.
At some point Mohini played bass like a tabla .. fantastic Mohini and wonderful performance Mohini - Suchismita ❤
amazing, she plays the bass like a Tabla player
It is so AWESOME when the bass player uses the melody and has this much fun!
Mohini is one of her kind.. setting new benchmarks of what a bass can do....
She’s not playing anything “new” thar legendary bassists haven’t done. But she’s a great bass player.
This is wonderful Bass playing and the singing is heavenly!
This is great this woman singing this Indian song while Mohini goes nuts on bass behind her 😍
that is OK nothing new :)

Mohini married a European
@@user-io8be4yn1t I believe you misread/mis-misinterpreted what they wrote ... "Married her talent ... with music she is conversant with" ...

The only word I understand is "panini" which is an Italian word that means sandwiches.

Sa re ga ma pa dha ni sa , is Indian equivalent of do re mi fa so la ti do

Panini was the grammarian of Sanskrit language in 4th Century BCE in India. 😎
