    With the disastrous software on the jeep and ram products this only makes it worse.
    Let’s discuss in the comments.

    As a retired Chrysler tech I feel for the next gen techs. Warranty flat rate times to repair unrepairable vehicles. It's not just the customer getting s*****.

    If now Stellantis want to cut costs, why dont they simply fire Carlos Tavares? Must be someway to kick him out without paying a cent to him, he is ruining every single company in that organisation I hope one day that they will find something to tie down on him with criminal charges that would make my day!

    there needs to be an industry wide revamp in auto manufacturing...back to simpler vehicles that can be easily produced/repaired and for normal folks to be able to afford..this economic model they are currently using has run it's course...folks can't keep on absorbing 10%-20% yearly price increases when their paychecks are staying the same.

  • @davidrosing5788
    @davidrosing5788 Před 19 dny +1

    Yeesh. Over the last 45 years I've sent spaceships to Venus, the Moon, Mars, Jupiter, and Saturn and the incompetence of the System Engineering boggles me. It's not just the software or the electronics, it's also the cheap cable harness, bad grounds, alternator noise from bad diodes in that cheap alternator, and faulty connections in the power distribution system that all must play together as a SYSTEM to keep the data bus alive and running in a real-time operational environment that are cars today.
    That's why we call it "System" engineering because things that affect one component or another may be caused by a totally unrelated device somewhere else on the circuit.
    So I don't care if even the V8's come back. Stellantis has demonstrated their inability to make ANY car functional.

  • @user-kr5lo9wq4r
    @user-kr5lo9wq4r Před 19 dny +2

    I'm surprised the stock has any value at all. If you have to cut costs by 30%, all the top executives have left, and most of the engineers have been let go how do you recover from that. Using foreign engineers and bringing in French plant managers to right the ship does not sound very promising. I do not see any other automobile/truck manufacturer doing this. This sounds beyond desperation. The shareholders meeting should be a disaster for Carlos. If it's not then the shareholders and the board get what they deserve.

      The head of Stellantis, which makes 52% of its sales in the United States, where margins are highest, has never missed an opportunity to compare himself to CEOs on the other side of the Atlantic, rather than to his European peers. He sees his salary as proportionate to Tim Cook's, who is paid $99 million (€93 million) by Apple; or Sundar Pichai, who was paid $226 million in 2022 by Google-Alphabet. This is Europe, however, and the issue of inequality is much more sensitive here.
      Hum, the horror, the horror.
