How was this not a RED card. He only got a yellow. Pure rubbish.
It shouldn't have been a penalty at all.
The whistle was blown, it was a "dead ball".
If Crichton didn't put his arm up it would've been a penalty to Australia for a late hit.
If it was during play then it would be another story, but Crichton hears the whistle blow as he turns around, yet sees someone still running at him. Obviously he's going to put his arm up to protect himself from that cheap shot.

@@katalalagavesi6034 I was supporting Samoa, so I would still be here saying that it shouldn't be a red card in that situation too.

@@rodog5963he didn't "throw an elbow", he put his forearm up to protect himself from a late hit.
