I already said this once but I'll say it again.
    Telling someone with:
    -Depression to "just be happy"
    -Anxiety to "just stop worrying"
-Self Harm issues to "just stop cutting"
-Insomnia to "just go to sleep"
    -Anorexia to "just eat"
-Bulimia to "just keep it in"
-Problems to "just get over with it"
Is like stabbing yourself with a knife saying "just stop bleeding" then you'll magically be healed
    *that's not how it works*
Lots of love from a small youtuber💕I hope the coming days fill all the cracks of your heart and you are reminded that you are not alone ,because you are loved 💖🌈

Oftentimes parents have this perception that they can "shape" their child's overall persona, instead of first working upon shaping their own. They fear that they may have to face uncalled societal criticism on upbringing of their child. This anxiety of parents definitely leads to an unhealthy, unhappy and messed up childhood for most children. Like seriously some people give birth to babies just because they "love babies" (as if its any toy to play with🙄), or may be also because of some societal norms or pressure. And then during the growing up years of their children, the parents are left stressed out by all the time being anxious on whether they're parenting correct or not and wondering when will their responsibility finally end.

Once, back in January of this year, I told my mom of how I felt. I only scratched barely at the surface of it.
"All girls your age go through this. You'll be fine."
I told her how I felt like killing myself would be an easy way out.
"Don't kill you're self... We can't lose you."
I told her I've tried cutting myself before.
"Don't do that. You're just scarring yourself."
    Fast forward two months.
    My mom sees my arms.
    "What is this?"
    I shrugged. "I dunno."
    ...
I feel as if my family doesn't love me.
My grandpa also recently died in May, so it felt heavier than before.
I feel as if he loved me less than my siblings and cousins.
It feels as if he didn't love me at all.
I also remember that day so well.
    Vivid.
    I hate it.
I know I made my mom sound ignorant, but she really isn't. She's a nice woman. She just doesn't understand.
She said she'll try to get me help in Febuary.
    Seems like she forgot.

My parents aren’t the type to yell or attack if I had bad grades they just hope I do better or say “you did your best.” but in my head I’d repeatedly say “You’re so dumb! Another failed grade!? Why can’t you do better!?” I’m still suffering from anxiety and going through this depressed state but I’m trying to also tell myself “you make mistakes and that’s okay.” Sorry if this offends😅

I can also relate to this heavily. Be warned, this is probably gonna be long. It all started in 3rd grade, 8 years ago. My parents got divorced, and my Mom got custody of me. I would often get randomly incredibly potent sadness spells. Of course I know what it was now, but I wasn't able to think of a reason why back in the day.
The next year, we moved. I had to leave the people I had known for over 3 years to go to a new school a somewhat considerable distance away. For the next 3 years, I was alone, watching the other kids from my own little corner of the lunchroom, trying to drown out the noise with my own thoughts.
7th grade started pretty much the same. About halfway into the year, I met 2 people who, for the sake of anonymity we'll call Jeff and Bob. Jeff and Bob became my friends for the rest of 7th grade, and I felt genuine happiness for a little while. At the end of 7th grade, Jeff became homeschooled.
For the first 2 months of 8th grade, Bob stayed at school. When he moved to a different part of the state,I was back to square one. It stayed that way until midway through 3rd quarter, when I met Mario. Mario is basically my döppelganger, from interests and hobbies down to even the way I look.
Freshman year, Mario and I still weren't too close yet, but we were starting to get used to each other. I introduce Mario to Kermit, a classmate with the potential to be a friend. The 3 of us start the first friend circle I had ever been in for more than a year.
Last year the 3 of us got closer, and Mario began to let me come over to his house and bought gifts for Kermit and I on holidays, and we all remembered to get things for the others birthday.
Present day, still not super comfortable about the whole thing, but I began to realize that Mario is too nice to me. He's spent way too much time, money, and resources on me. I've also developed a bit of codependency with Mario. I can always feel happiness at his place, but I sometimes feel like it's artificial, like a mask I have to wear around him. It's like a drug to me, I can't stop going to his house for happiness because I can't face the world around me.
I hope this wasn't too long, but it probably was. It kinda looks like it should be on reddit and not CZcams. I guess my black and white brain needed it to be perfect. Sorry it took so long. Bye.

You can overcome depression by yourself.
Whatever we do in our daily life, many of which we do inadvertently, without using our mind.
Such as getting up in the morning, brushing, taking tea etc.
We can change many of our habits with consciousness, which we do unconsciously.
If we are always aware of what will happen by what we do, then we can categorize our good and bad habits, and consciously choose good habits, leave bad habits.
Due to some of my habits (Addiction of watching porn), I had depression, which inadvertently happened in the beginning.
So would you like to know how I changed my daily routine to overcome depression?
My name is Deepak yadav and I'm a life coach, I was also very depressed in the year of 2016 but i overcome it and now I'm helping depressed people for free.
I have written an eBook (You can overcome depression by yourself

Filtering is definitely something I do. It's not that I ignore the positives, it's just that it feels like a drop of honey in a cup of really strong coffee, it's sweet but it's almost impossible to taste under all the bitterness.
Honestly, I'm just trying add more honey to my life so that it will someday be balanced enough for me to confidently say, "Yep, that was a sweet cup of coffee."

For a while I felt as though I was struggling, especially in art and school; I felt as though no art piece I made would be good enough despite the improvements I've made. In school I'm even more critical to myself; I almost cried because I got a B+ in Gym class.

I had some compassion but not enough to understand really. Its easier for us to "make fun" of things we dont know out of fear.
That all changed when i had my mental health crisis break down in 2016. Now years later and much suffering, help, inner work and meds my mission is to educate, advocate and support those suffering who maybe dont have lots of support through resources like i had. Great stuff guys

I know that she was joking but, saying I don’t need to felt like she was making it seem like my anxiety wasn’t a big deal and I can deal with it on my own. I now keep those feelings to myself which is really hard when your the type of person to become really destructive when keeping feelings in. I don’t know what to do. Most people arent capable of independent thought and will downplay everything to make them feel better about there little ego in life that everything and everyone are okay. Ive met 1 person in my 27 years on earth that understands my mentality because they deal with the same stuff mentally. I feel some of us just scare people because they dont want to see the world how it really is. But I'm fine with not being social cos most are to self centered and have to believe that they're center of the universe.

Oh wow, I relate to all of these examples. That's kinda strange 'cause I have always thought that I am just extremally negative and unconfident

I'm not surprised that I'm relatable to almost every way of thinking, negative thinking brings more anxiety than you can imagine 😔

I can relate to everything. I'm in school and my parents raised me that school and grades are now the most importent thing. I'm in so much pressure because my grades and motivation for school is going down. Also because of my anxiety I barely even raise my hand. I hope everything goes well.

Five out of ten 😔 I love how people say “be positive” I start that way, I do, but then people prove why they cannot be trusted. Or the new job blows up as the people you thought liked you actually didn’t... how do you remain positive why history proves again & again that you shouldn’t 😔

I have quite a few mental issues like mid insomnia, bad anxiety and depression. And it sucks when people just tell you to get over it. Like my parents tell me that I'm overreacting and to get over it and that I'm being silly. I don't really have any friends so I feel lonely alot. It's probably been over a year since I've not thought about suicide almost every day. And it hurts when people don't take you seriously.

I can relate to almost all of these I always thought that I wasn't good enough or always thinking worst case scenarios and predict of what's going to happen and I once when I got a panic attack because I couldn't get into online school. My parents are extremely angry on why I'm not in "class" which I got even more stressed.

My goodness, it scares me that I literally am all of these. Maybe I should get help, however, when I told my mom that I might have anxiety, she told me to stop it or else doctors would take me away and that I shouldn't be like other kids. From then on, I began to keep things to myself and began to internalize my emotions.

I had depression ,still ,but it wz worse , I've been emotionally and physically numb , insomnia, i could not feel or desire, from the most simple things ,i couldn't seek for support ,cuz i didn't feel desire to ,just stuck and bleeding ,they told me don't judge accept watch , it wz more that i could support ,my mind wz not awake at all , emotionally totally dead
Day after day it feels that i could come to life little by little , but things are never as used to be , me ,my favorite things ,feelings, life itself ,future and goals , life seems to be meaningless ,i cannot recall joyful things of my past except pain and blur and questions , still lost ,

I’ve got like 5/10 I think I’m going to see a psychiatrist soon because I’ve got everything in the world to be greatful for but damage myself in a lot of these ways. Step 1 is taking notice. I’ve been here before, talking to a professional can really make you feel better about yourself
