Private and luxurious Caiman Ecological Refuge is located on thousands of acres within the Pantanal. The world's largest wetland. Stays include three meals a day, game drives, unlimited water and soft drinks. People come from all over the world to see (hopefully) jaguars, birds and other animals.
Four Canadians, four Brazilians, and two English stayed in Baiazinha Lodge along with us during our three night stay. Please watch the videos to see what we saw on this adventure... Incredible!
Now this is a great looking place. One could really chill out while having an adventure. Food looked good...was it?
The food was good. I wouldn't say "outstanding" but good and plenty of it. It should be gorgeous with their rates, comparable to African safari rates. I didn't (and don't) really know exactly how much we paid for night since it was included in the entire trip price. But later discovered it is expensive! Best regards, Sheila
You might like the 500,000 Sandhill Cranes that stop along the Platte River in Nebraska each March. United flies ORD-LNK.
Google it.
Because I'm really not a birder, I knew nothing about the Sandhill Cranes in Nebraska. That has got to be an amazing sight. Have you seen it? We saw red headed cranes in Hokkaido (there is a video with them in it) because it was part of the itinerary. They were busy doing their mating dances and some sight to see. Thanks for the information! Best, Sheila ps Have a great thanksgiving!
