I should try it. Maybe Anna will think "Take a chance. Hire the smart, fat girl."
hahahah devil wears prada
😂😂😂 love it
@Yessu Gabriella, maybe.....Yes both can have 'Gabi' as nickname but Gábor is definitely male while Gabriella is the female equivalent.
if i worked at vogue id wear a ball gown
INTERNS should be PAID. They make an effort to work and enterprises should respond with an effort to make their internship sustainable. A will is not always enough for a way, especially is enterprises have the money.
Mireille Thank you!
I USED to agree, but I do wish I'd gotten an internship like everyone advised.
I can't agree with you more. When I graduated from UCLA in Design, I interned for 2 years for a international Interior Designer, he not only paid me, but he promoted me. It was not easy, I was a newly wed, finishing my classes, and working my tail off. Being paid is an important key value and success....especially with large companies who not only have the resources but are in a leadership role that sets standards.
Lisa Sands i am from india and i am eagerly looking out for an internship in london and NYC as stylist. Please do let me know how to apply in such good places
I wish my line could invite you in. Apply to Vogue direct. Show your talent. Be your wonderful self. Go for all your dreams.
When talking about people she's exploiting for free labour and their need to feed, shelter and clothe themselves to survive
"Where there's a will, there's a way"
You mean rich parents, blind luck or theft. Those are the ways.
Police-"why did you rob the bank?"
Me-"I work as an intern at vogue." Police-"Understandable. Have a great day."
@@rmsleftpinkiestoenail6771 Honestly though!
@@rmsleftpinkiestoenail6771 basically😂😭
I was so excited to hear Lucy say she was a 32 yr old intern because I’m 30 and just graduated Uni and I’m considering getting my MA in fashion and textile history and curating... it makes me feel optimistic to know it’s never too late to follow your passion :)
Rosalie Crawford hi! I just wanted to let you know you’ve also inspired me
That is so true , and i wish you best of luck (:
YOU MADE MY DAY! I feel like that as a 22 year old about to get into the fashion industry lol. I feel like I’m already too old. Thank you for following your dreams! More power to you!
Anyone who watch this : believe in your dreams and do everything to achieve your goals ! Let's do this together !
Pauline Gareau needes this. Thank you, you too!
Pauline Gareau ❤️
Thx ❤️✨
Thank u!! Really needed this rn:>>
Omg thank you I really need that
So basically have rich parents to put you in a London flat while you work unpaid internships...
It is a practical education.
@@petegiant no it's free labor. i't unqualified labor so it should be cheaper than what that of tje professionals but it absolutely should be paid.
It's called a glass ceiling.
It's put into place to ensure that the children of the wealthy have another leg up on the competition of poor kids.
She very flippantly disregarded the need for an intern to eat and chalked conjuring money from thin air up to a will finding a way.
The way is either blind luck, having rich parents (the jackpot of blind luck) or theft.
I'm lucky I live in London I live quite near the building I could apply for a job lol
Exactly. I live in London and am lucky enough that my parents can pay my rent for a while at least but still can't get an internship to save my life, everyone wants someone with experience to work for free or for next to nothing ffs...
This video inspired me to pursue my dreams. and now I am almost there. at least I am interning at Vogue Germany at this point. Thanks to Alexa and the entire crew behind this video!!
sunnysevinc tell us more....

sunnysevinc ahhh kudos!
I adore these videos. I like to pretend I work for British Vogue when I hurry around London. Such fun watching these
+Aadam Sheikh That's a pleasant thing to imagine n_n
s.

seems like something I would do if I lived in a city.
Why pretend?! Go try doing it! Break the rules, what's the worst thing that can happen? Accept that worst thing, be fine with it and go try. Good luck!! =D
Aadam Sheikh ugh I know I would love to be like that and have a job like that.
Miranda: "Everyone wants to be us."
indeed. i'm one of those people. *-*
"A million girls would kill for that job"
Wow all of my dreams in one video
For a second I thought this was a whole new series
Just found out I've been offered a place , on a magazine journalism and publishing course , When I watched this . This has literally spurred me on even more .
h
How did it go ?
so??? how was it? I got curious hahah
Watch Devil wears Prada for preparations ofcourse.
Did you make it?
Oh my god I really want to work at Vogue. This has been seriously my dream since I was a middle school student. My mom works at a huge library so I got the chance to read Chinese Vogue every month. And I kept doing this from my middle school time to the end of my high school time because I went to another city for my University later. I am a Chinese and now working on my graduate program in the US. When I was in college, I started to read British Vogue and American Vogue since I was able to master English. I love British Vogue sooooooooooo much. It has definitely the best style and every time I read it I get so much inspiration. Fashion seriously means interest, inspiration, passion, love, and life to me. I wish I could some day work at British Vogue. I want it so badly, like morn than any other things on the entire world. I wish I could do an intern after I graduate at Vogue, which is everything I want.
it's sad to dream of labor.
Update. After my graduation I worked for L’OFFICEL which is another big name in the fashion publication industry.
@@cecichen1987 omgg, so happy for u!!! Is vogue still ur dream? was it difficult for u to get a job? I haven't graduated yet, but my dream is becoming a fashion journalist and, hopefully someday, work at vogue or other big magazines, but i'm scared of not being able to get there since i'm not from the US and i don't come from a wealthy family ;(
Which degree is best to be a fashion Journalist mam please tell well I also want to be editor at Vogue
@@econ2206 14-year-old discovers socialism
omg I love Alexa so much her charisma is infectious! also this series is just so great like they really answer the questions that people *are*, in fact, asking instead of giving us a lot of the more superficial stuff out there
Can't get enough of this series and Alexa
Diana Chamomile erre
I'm obsessed with the idea of shooting for vogue one day. Be ready Vogue!
+Don Nixon yay go for it !
Don Nixon These fokks are prepping it just for You.
Just go there now! They are ok.
Did you make it Mate?
ok.
I went for a job interview here last summer when i was fresh out of university. The environment was stiff and, looking around at the unsettling lack of diversity in the room, i was perplexed as to how i’d made it in. Definitely made me wonder how candidates were selected for the position - does one need to know the right people and have private schooling to make it in vogue? Shoutout to John at 0:57 for being so kind and easing the tension on that day!!
Giorgia Rose what degree do you have
Did you get the job ?
Great musical score! Obsessed with Alexa content especially during the Quarantine. Like if you’re here in 2020
Alexa is so funny and so charismatic , i love how she does these videos
Ironic how the editor-in-chief is wearing a lumpy, colourful sweater
literally my thoughts exactly 😂
was thinking the same, not exactly what I had expected lol.
It probably costs hundreds of pounds and was made by some hot new designer. Lumpy chic or something like that.
Shame on her!!!
It's gucci and beautiful
Those 'Future of Fashion' documentaries have been extremely inspirational, educating and gave me more drive to continue dreaming while I'm at University. Questions are answered that I've been asking myself for a long time now.
So thank you British Vogue team for showing your world !!
I'm here for Alexa's attitude and sence of humor, don't really care about Vogue 😆
ALEXA CHUNG--LOVE HER, LOVE THIS, LOVE VOGUE---THANK YOU!!!!
Please keep this series going! It is so inspiring and informative.
alexa looks amaaaaazing in this episode. so beautiful
I love this episode. It's so interesting to see how many people contribute to the iconic magazine in their own unique way. To hear their stories of how they ended up there. I admire that Vogue recognizes that the industry evolves and that they are embracing these changes and are quite ahead of many industries when it comes to the demands of the digital era. The Social Media bit was my favorite part. Thanks for sharing!
Alexa is the definition of what I want to be, a writer, model and designer! And also happy and fun to be around :)
love the huskiness
I immensely enjoyed this. Fantastic information and a joy to watch.
Very interesting video to watch, made me look behind the scene! Thank you for shooting it for us:))
Thank you for creating this content. I absolutely need it since i'm going to be an intern in marketing analytics for a luxury brand, and this video just explains it all in what i'm actually gonna be doing.

Alexa looking fabulous in this one. Hair, makeup, everything...

Alexa looked so amazing and now I desperately want to work at vougue...
+Jessica -Jean same !
Jessica -Jean first you should know how to write "Vogue"
Kapitan Planeta sorry didn't think a spelling mistake was important enough for anyone to reply to
Excellent!! So surprised!
Very interesting video! I wish I knew how to work at a magazine like Vogue 20 years ago. I might have tried. So great. Very insightful.
This video was so informative! I've always had an interest in fashion and Alexa is really inspiring. It feels good to pursue creative endeavors.
It makes me feel good that some of these people didn't have a end goal or dream job life goal. They just did what they were interested in, learned, failed and found out what works putting the pieces of what is it they will be happy doing as a career and taking a leap of faith to peruse what they want.
Have been binge watching Vogue videos today
SO GREAT!!!
Omg, loving this.
Love this!
I love all the Alasdair prints around the office :)
Fantastic segment, Alexa.
One day I'll be working with Vogue !🙏🏻

Very excited for the future. I need to put my creative brain to work.

This was so interesting ! I'd like to hear more about how young/fresh recruits got their jobs ! Can a bold young and not very experience candidate still get an interview by just asking for one on the phone ?
Thank you British Vogue for blessing my life with the 'Future of Fashion' series x
Love you Alexa! Your style is like no other.....your voice like Cara D.

She have a beautiful voice
Great video
alexa is soooo charismatic
Shine the light Alexa!!
Best channel
31:55 little did they know their tweet would be forever immortalized hehe
I like the vision/vibe from the people at Vogue UK where things are less dramatic but still keeping the fashionable vibe. They are way more approachable and clam comparing the US. They really change my attitude towards fashion; various of styles but still looks good.
SUPER INSPIRING
Can you make a video about how to became a fashion photographer working in the industry or for vogue?
Thank you!
Alexa Chung is amazing!
Nice one
Keep up the good work :)
I worked with Conde nast which is our biggest clients in NY. I love how they are so self-confident in decision-making, friendly, efficient, and most importantly they understands what professional standards mean. Whenever we had a meeting, the art director just look at our product in I-pad, no lousy PPT, after he or she confirmed, then its good-to-go. Shortest meeting ever.
Very good video nice
Wonderful
Vogue always bring good things
Good video
Nice video
im still watching because i love you :)
Cool stuff
Good video...
Alex’s voice is the best part of having the worst ever cold.
