The fans really ruined pretty much everything. I have no problem with any of the cast members liking each other or not, but the fact that the fans are trying to break rudy and elaine up is just so sad. They love each other and also that the fans are ruining even Rudy and Maddison's relationship (as friends) This is concerning and I hope jj and kie don't break up in the show due to this, since its an obx ship that everyone loves. I wouldn't be surprised if season 4 is the last season. Outer banks is my favorite show, and I'd be disappointed if fans ruin it.

i most definitely 100% believe that the fans ruined madison and rudy's friendship. maddie and rudy both pleaded with fans to stop shipping them together but no one listened. as far as elaine telling rudy to remove his likes on madison's post(s), who's to say rudy didn't think to do that himself? we have no idea what is going on in that environment, so we need to stop with the elaine slander on that part. as far as her past, the allegations that were made is that she was very homophobic and racist, but that was in the past. i understand, she still said and did those things but that doesn't mean she deserves for people to keep hating on her and revisiting the past. i know it's easier said than done but we need to forgive and move on. who even knows if the allegations were true, but if they are, look at the person she is today and not at the person she was years ago. now, for what happened at this obx4 dinner, we'll never know exactly what happened because we weren't there, but i do feel like this is also partly to blame on madison and rudy themselves because if they knew the truth about their friendship and there was nothing more to it, then it wasn't completely worth being upset over. now, i understand it can be really frustrating, especially if they're in two completely different relationships and i’m not saying they don’t deserve to be upset, but at the same time if their partners know them and trust them and everyone else knows the truth is the opposite of what other people want it to be, then they shouldn't have let it bother them. only they know what goes on behind the scenes. now, i have to say i agree with the narrator when she asks the question "how is it that rudy and madison have more drama then the actual exes (madelyn and chase) who dated each other for a year?" it makes no sense. if madelyn and chase can be chill with each other after dating and breaking up (while the filming for the 3rd season was nearing might i add), then madison and rudy who didn't even date should be just as chill with each other as they are, that's why i say the lack of communication and avoidance didn't help any, but in fact made matters worse. you don't avoid your problems, you try to find a solution. the way i see it, the solution was easy, you didn't have to stop being friends with each other but instead just stop sharing your friendly moments for the world to see, that way no assumptions could be made. going back to what i first said though, there wouldn't have been any problems to begin with if not for the so called "fans." the reason i say that is because if they were real true fans, they would've been respectful of maddie and rudy's friendship as well as their relationships. i have to say i really sad and disappointed that the fans ruined such a beautiful thing. all i can say at this point is that i hope things don’t blow up any more than they already have and i know things won’t go back to normal, but i really hope madison and rudy can find their way to being good friends again.

I think we all agree true believers of this group is that certain fans are going over the top, but also a lot of editors also added to this toxic material about the cast, they put them together now they want to destroy them. We need to put positive values and vibes back into the show. This group has given us the greatest show since friends, their personal life is theirs. And the stars please just do the show. Do this. Stop putting your personal lives on any social media sites, use only sites that you are happy with like ET, Netflix, MTV, OSSA, or Cosmo, these should be the only place you all speak to as a group. Don't let them to continue to edit you without your approval, so none of you are caught off guard. Go back to season 1,2 & 3 see what you did best and stick to that formula. To the writers/producers you write the show not the toxic fans destroying your show. Fans need to keep their input out.
I've said it before and I'll say it again, if fans are a cause for drama within interpersonal relationships, there were problems before the fans. Because think about it, the only fans that are shipping two costars in a show about teenagers ARE young teenagers. Your fans are 14. They should not affect a strong preexisting relationship. Obviously they need to be told that they shouldn't be commenting things like that but to me it seems like the problems have to do with the girlfriends and their insecurities in their own relationships with Rudy and Madison respectively.
