That Boxer tech was pretty spicy, was fun to see in action.
They're a hard deck to make work at this level, since most of their best starters and extenders either lock your entire turn into nothing but BB monsters... meaning you can't run things like Kaijus, and struggle to make extra deck staples.... or take away your battle phase, giving your oponent turns to eat through your finite number of interactions.
Hilariously, even running a card like Nibiru can be fraught in Battlin' Boxers... because it is VERY easy to give your opponent a token you'll then struggle to get rid of when it rolls back around to your turn.

That dark world mirror match was really something
For the kashtira birth, it says "and" and not "while", thats why it still activated.
Thank god I didn't dismantle the volcanic cards.
Now I kinda want to play Boxer. That was my TCG deck of choice back in 2013-4, super cheap.

The Kashtira birth ruling is perfectly fine as is, its a trigger effect and the timing is built to hard counter Tearlament spell/fusion speed

Dark World mirrors are absolute misery. You have to wait forever for your turn unless someone screws up and chucks a Mothman or has to Dealings to unbrick themselves. Also Apollousa does nothing to Dangers' in hand effects, so you just have to wait for things to get chucked even after you set up a board, but going first usually means you win the mirror anyway so it's whatever.

I suggest anybody reading this first to just skip over the Dark World mirror match. Unless you really want to watch 3 consecutive LONG ass Dark World turn 1s where the opponent doesn't have a chance of breaking their board.

@@LilyApus It loses to dark ruler no more, droplet or droll, they can "play around" other hand traps by simply power through them but they need a good hand first and no maxx "c" is not a good handtrap against DW because they will turn their combo into an FTK you need to maxx "c" them a bit later.

Playing the Battlin’ Boxers pure I think is better because the other engines don’t brick you and you can play under Nib. It’s not as powerful but it’s more consistent. Also play counterpunch! They never expect it and it’ll shut down their battle phase or beat over anything they summon usually.

Kashtira Birth ruling is right because it's a continuous effect. Same reason you can use the Mikanko trap to equip Angelica's Ring on the activation of a spell and AR will negate on resolution.
It isn't tho. Continuous effects DO NOT activate and DO NOT start a chain.

It's precisely because they're always applied that Birth was able to banish from the gy since the blue player foolishly chained his wanted to the eff to summon, which triggered a chain, thus by the time the chain is resolved there's both a Kashtira monster on the field and a spell just got activated meaning that same continuous effect met all the conditions it needs to apply after the resolution of the chain. Learn how to read before you speak nonsense.

Actually no birth have kashtira by the name so like sure if I don't have kashtira monster when this card is on the field is still count as when you summone kash, not when birth is activated to the hand on the field

And that's why it's such a bad one, since you can draw an Imperm/Droplet on your DP and just kill the Utopia one. The Volcanic one is slightly better since it revolves around targeting and tributing monsters with a pair of traps, but Forbidden Droplet and even Enemy Controller can still deal with it thanks to Turn Player Priority, make sure you have your Reaction Trigger to ON if you want to make sure to do that when you open the right cards for it.

When it first came out I saw people immediately bring it into ranked (Master 3 and 4) and wasn’t impressed. I didn’t lose a single time against them with Exosister and I went 2nd most of the time

I think it's a play on words of "Feliz Navidad" (merry Christmas in Spanish). In case you haven't noticed by now dkayed has lots of nicknames for different cards (like how he calls apolusa "Apollo USA")..

That birth ruling seems like an oversight. Nothing else functions like that in the kashtira archetype, so why does birth? Konami should look into this.
edit: I have done some research and been educated. This effect makes sense, but the phrasing is hella confusing.
Because it's a continuous effect, it's same reason why you can negate an activated spell by equipping Angelica's Ring with the Mikanko trap to negate a spell that's being activated in the same chain.
@@admontblanc Angelica's ring specifically states that you negate the first activated spell/trap effect that RESOLVES. Birth specifically requires your opponent to ACTIVATE a spell card WHILE you control a kashtira monster, which is not the case when you chain to the card.
Angelica's effect does not have trigger conditions, it's an inherent effect like Diabellstar's special summon. Birth has conditions, and they weren't met.
@@chkmte1304 there's no error at all, you just don't understand rulings and the guy misplayed which is why he played into that like a fool. You actually made go back and re-watch to make sure. Birth worked as it's supposed to, the other guy could've used Wanted on the activation of Birth from the hand, and again on the resolution of if Birth's activation. But because the effect of Birth to banish is continuous and since the blue player was dumb enough to chain his spell to the effect of Birth to SS a Kashtira, both effects are resolving in the same chain so by the time Birth's eff to banish might apply, both conditions have already been met. And the same will happen if you chain a monster effect to an effect that would SS a Kashtira, like the trap, on resolution the same Kashtira monster, if summoned by the effect from the hypothetical chain I described would be able to activate its eff on resolution.
It's not an oversight it's built specifically to counter Tearlaments spells, Unless the summon is negated Kashtira Birth will treat the spell chained to it as though it was still on the field.

Extra deck is standard for snake eyes w/ charmers + knightmare unicorn and Phoenix.
You have 15.5 ways to get to snake eyes ash and 5.5 ways to get to Kash. With a 40 card deck you have a total of:
21 combo starters
12 handtraps ( the correct number of handtraps for the deck )
4 extenders
2 field spells
And 1 TCOBO
The deck almost never bricks and when it does you will have ( most likely) a verity of handtraps and should be able to survive till you draw into one of your many starters
The Kashtira cards should help bait out plays from your opponents and the deck can get to Baronn w/o triggering nib
